    This whole chapter felt verbose, like it could've been shortened to a few paragraphs and have the same effect. Pretty obvious Neph was talking about Effie. Meanwhile our Fated MC, whose shadow Echo and maybe himself, can possibly evolve Soul Rank without needing to return like everyone else is obviously the Fated key.

    hmmm in some sense though, this is better than main characters of other novels, where every decision and step would inevitably be great and good. tho, this MC also have a plot armor, it feels more natural and relatable, since all of our decisions usually depend on our circumstances, upbringing and stuff, even without us realising it.
