    There are like 5 chapters where nationalism comes in early on. If u skip that, you get to the decent parts of the story. It’s no masterclass, but it’s different than most Chinese filler novels of the genre. The 2.2 rating is undeserved I believe.

    there is no romance other than the occasional flirting(once every 75-100 chapters) and
    . for those saying the novel is heavily influenced with nationality skim over most of the chapter(advised only for veteran readers) and read only the interesting bits i've done this and the tag nationality didn't effect my reading that much. the cultivation levels are unique to this novel meaning they are not the tried and tested ones being used by pretty much every chinese author and there is little confusion in the later chapters regarding this. There is no young master every five chapters and there chain villain killing at all(the novels where mc kills the young master and his father comes and gets killed and so on). The novel itself has quite some action. The mc is strong but not the strongest(like where the other novels make the mc strongest in the same cultivation grade this one doesn't have something like that). Overall this novel deserves higher rating than some trash i've seen in this website. A rating of 2.2 doesn't do this novel justice. recommended for to read(or like me just skim over most of the unimportant bits).

    It's really heartbreaking when you don't see a "romance" or "harem" tag and happily start to read the novel till you discover it has a big romance plot in it, not to mention early romance!
    The author didn't even give enough time to the protagonist to find some foothold in the world to start pushing the girl in his arms and start that idiotic way of revenging.
    How can someone who is living his second chance act like a hot blooded teenager whose action are completely based on hormones and emotions?
