        No no, it's 75 levels each tier, these 75 levels divided into 3 sub levels of 25 levels each.

        Tier 1 = Lvl 1 min and Lvl 75 max
        Tier 2= Lvl 76 min and Lvl 150 max
        Tier 3= Lvl 151 min and Lvl 225 max.

        Ronald is below tier 2, so he was below level 75, while the tier 3 enemies are 151 levels minimum.

        Basically, dude was 76+ levels above his playing field.

          Most peoples in this story stop at 2 tier 1 classes so level 50 and then take a tier 2 class so your thing is maybe wrong

          Close, but no.

          Tier 1 = Lvl 1 min and usually swapped for better ones at lvl 50, each Tier 1 class needs 25 lvls.
          Tier 2= Lvl 51 min and usually swapped for better ones at lvl 150, each Tier 2 class needs 50* lvls.
          Tier 3= Lvl 151 min and usually swapped for better ones at lvl 350 ?, each Tier 3 class needs 100* lvls.
          Tier 4= no data available.

          Tier 2 classes can be leveled to 25 out of 50 and abandoned afterward for different ones (example is Tier 3 Elementalist that takes 4x incomplete Tier 2 mage classes for major elements), but there are usually some class specific bonuses at lvl 50. Same for tier 3 but bigger numbers, probably ?

          And it is preferable to take as high Tier class as possible for better stat/skill bonuses per level (scribe stat gain is a big L).
