Chapter 2027: Then Let’s Call Off the Deal

Anthony painstakingly crafted an information blind box, mainly to reduce the risk of exposure. In this world, they are outsiders, and their only anchor, Luomu Luo’er, is an attached star and not very familiar with this world.

In an unfamiliar place, it is easy to expose oneself, such as through some misunderstood puns or unreasonable reactions, like now.

According to the Sixth Divine Star’s thinking, upon hearing that Lania has established a consciousness connection with many divine stars, Anthony should immediately inquire about Lania’s location. As long as Lania is killed, all the divine stars connected in consciousness can be killed as well, thus plundering their Star Soul Seals.

The Sixth Divine Star hoped to trade location information with Anthony, but was completely surprised by the other party’s reaction, to the point of doubting whether the other party was truly a Divine Star Guide.

Anthony felt a bit panicked inside, but his demeanor was extremely calm. He asked slowly, "Do you know why we want to hunt divine stars?"

"I know, to put all the lights into a bottle." The Sixth Divine Star replied.

Anthony was startled to his core. This was the third time he heard the phrase "put into a bottle." The first time was the Void put into a bottle, the second time was Darkness put into a bottle, and now it’s Light put into a bottle. It seems like the contents are different?

Although the contents are different, they are likely referring to the same thing; it’s just that the terms got distorted in transmission.

Despite his shock, Anthony’s expression didn’t change at all. He said indifferently, "That’s the goal, but does the speed of the process matter?"

"Doesn’t it matter?" The Sixth Divine Star was stunned. He never expected to hear such a response. Doesn’t it matter?

Anthony took a step closer, lowered his voice, and said with a meaningful tone, "Or rather, does speed matter to us?"

Anthony emphasized the word ’us’.

Despite lacking in language skills, the Sixth Divine Star was a perfectly intelligent divine star. Anthony had hinted to such an extent that he immediately filled in the blanks in his mind: It doesn’t matter to ’us’? It only matters to ’them’?

Since he didn’t know how many Ghost Guides there were, the Sixth Divine Star could only think of this reason, which happened to be the direction Anthony hoped to lead him towards.

The things one fills in by themselves, no matter how absurd, will be subconsciously justified, whereas things that others explicitly tell you are harder to believe. This is a common flaw among intelligent beings.

After filling in some blanks, the Sixth Divine Star hesitantly asked, "Should I find ’them’?"

"No, no, no, what I mean is, what you’re currently offering is not enough to entice ’us’ to take risks. You need to think about whether you can offer something else." Anthony said.

"Something else?" The Sixth Divine Star fell silent; he simply hadn’t prepared anything else.

He originally thought that by revealing this information, the Ghost Guide would immediately pounce like a bee spotting a flower, collecting a large number of Star Soul Seals in one go—a rare opportunity.

At most, he would add his own Star Soul. He was already very old, and his growth had long since stagnated. If sacrificing his Star Soul could lead the Ghost Guide to kill Lania, it would be a worthwhile trade.

Unexpectedly, Anthony wasn’t interested in his Star Soul at all, nor in Lania’s Star Soul, even subtly indicating that such matters were not important to them.

Could it be that the Ghost Guides have different task allocations among themselves? ’Putting the light into a bottle’ is only one task among some of the Ghost Guides, not all of them?

With a head full of questions, the Sixth Divine Star temporarily left. He needed to go back and think about what else could attract Anthony and make Lania the next target.

After the Sixth Divine Star walked away, Negris couldn’t help but say, "To think that a divine star would actually hire us as a hitman. What if he brings out something attractive, and we really go to help him kill Lania?"

Go kill a Branch Lord? Just thinking about it was thrilling. Although Ange now had two stacked ghost avatars, each with the strength of ten divine stars, and even had a complete Star Soul Stacked Piece, there’s still a huge gap between their power and that of a Branch Lord.

Unless they could truly guide an Exotic Ghost, they couldn’t possibly match Lania.

Anthony calmly said, "What qualifies as something attractive is determined by us."

Just then, the silver coin flew back and said, "Lord Anthony, that No.5 Divine Star who wants to resurrect the Star Mover, I have already negotiated with him. He is willing to let us see the corpse of the Star Mover."

"Really? What are his terms?" Anthony asked in surprise.

Although the No.5 Divine Star was eliminated in the second round, the information he revealed was quite enticing to Anthony. He had the corpse of a Star Mover.

Anthony had seen living Star Movers before but never a dead one. What’s the difference between them? Why would the No.5 Divine Star offer a bounty for reviving a Star Mover? Can a dead divine star be resurrected, or does he need a live divine star who can master the Star Migration Skill?

With a stomach full of questions left unanswered, Anthony signaled the silver coin right after the information blind box game ended to contact the No.5 Divine Star and find a way to see the Star Mover’s corpse. Unexpectedly, the silver coin managed it so quickly.

The silver coin said, "I told him we also have the corpse of a Star Mover. If he lets us see his Star Mover’s corpse, we’ll give him a piece of a Star Mover’s body fragment."

"Just a body fragment will do? That’s very reasonable." Anthony nodded with satisfaction, thinking, it’s no wonder he’s the God of Business, always able to exchange for the right goods at the most reasonable cost.

They had quite a few Star Mover body fragments. Initially, when the Little Angel bombed the Star Mover, many surface shells were blown off and collected.

Of course, the body fragments themselves are worthless. What’s valuable is the information attached to them; as for what information the other party can extract from the fragment, they don’t guarantee.

"Where do we go to see it?" Anthony asked.

"Here, he said to wait right here." The silver coin took out an imprint with an arrow and then flew in the direction the arrow pointed.

Anthony hurried to follow, and Negris also followed upon seeing this.

The distance was very far, requiring them to leave the gravitational range of two Devouring Abysses, but Anthony and the others had already switched to stacked piece bodies, moving in the Void, even faster than Star Shifting, and disappeared with a leap forward.

Several days later, the three of them arrived at the location indicated by the imprint. Upon reaching the destination, the arrow-shaped imprint turned into a flashing red dot.

After flashing for over ten minutes, a root extended through the Void ahead, continuously stretching out. As it extended, more roots penetrated the Void, twisting into a cavity composed of roots ahead.

Anthony looked at the entrance formed by the roots and said loudly, "If you can’t change your way of welcoming, then we’ll cancel the deal."
