Chapter 526 (1) - The Academys Weapon Replicator

Countless threads intertwine.

Threads descending from the sky like clouds enter the loom, each weaving its own tapestry.

The patterns of the completed tapestries are all different. The loom stretches endlessly, reflecting the infinite number of threads.

This is a factory of weaving, eternally spinning.

Step.

In the middle of it all, a man walks between the rows of looms that seem to stretch on forever.

“I’m here, old hags. Right on time, just like you asked. But why do you guys even bother with ‘appointments’?”

Golden eyes, small stature. More boy than man, he looked around and shouted.

“The reason,”

And following his call,

“Is because this time, you cannot be late.”

Three women appeared, and the one on the left spoke.

Despite the boy calling them ‘old hags’, the three didn’t look old. Their appearance made it impossible to guess their age.

However, all three had white hair, and their clothes and skin were the same. They were white from head to toe, but it felt more withered than elegant, as if they had lost all color.

How long had it taken for them to lose all their color, and how much time had passed since then? Even the boy didn’t know.

“Frondier has left.”

The woman in the middle said.

The boy frowned.

“I know. I figured that’s what this was about the moment you summoned me.”

“Then you know what must be done.”

The boy shook his head. It wasn't a gesture of denial, but rather one of brushing something away.

“Why do we have to tiptoe around that bastard? Whether it’s Frondier or whatever, if I just kill it…”

“Thanatos.”

This time, it was the woman on the right who cut him off.

“This task must be handled perfectly.”

“…..”

“And wasn’t this what you wanted as well? Didn’t you say you had a debt to collect from Frondier?”

“Ah, right. That bastard got too cocky.”

Thanatos laughed, his golden eyes flashing.

“That guy deserves to be ripped to shreds. That’s why I don’t get it. Why do I have to avoid him just because he’s stepped outside this world?”

“Frondier is dangerous. It’s not a matter of strength.”

The boy, Thanatos, didn't answer but didn't seem convinced either.

“This is strange.”

“What is?”

“You guys are being so proactive. I thought your purpose was management? Not intervention.”

Thanatos looked at the three women and uttered.

“Moirai.”

“…This is also management.”

“Hah. Playing with words.”

Thanatos scratched his head roughly. He muttered to himself.

“So, you’re saying to start while Frondier’s gone. While Frondier’s gone…”

Rage welled up within Thanatos.

His primary objective was Frondier, so he didn't like the order to avoid him.

The woman in the middle spoke.

“This is something the Norns also agree on.”

“…The Norns? Those women from Asgard? You guys meet up sometimes?”

Thanatos’s eyes widened in genuine surprise.

The three women who govern fate in their respective worlds. They had reached a consensus.

“Hmm, alright. If that’s the case…”

Thanatos' anger subsided.

Since all those who dealt with fate had agreed, this was no longer just a matter of appearing afraid of Frondier.

“The preparations for the descent?”

“Already complete. Children who have lost their homes are obedient.”

“What, you manipulated Manggot? What management? We're way past intervention now.”

“There was no need to control everything. Ten, no, nine was enough.”

…Ah.

As if he understood, Thanatos smirked.

As his laughter faded, a murderous aura bloomed.

“Then I’ll be on my way. To fulfill my role.”
