Chapter 392: Shadow Lord of Blood Crane Territory |
The space-time of the Infinite Chaotic Origin Space was incomparably fragile before Luo Feng. The highest level of Life-and-Death power easily tore open a space-time traversal passage.
Luo Feng departed the ‘Origin Continent Source World’ at extreme speed. In just a brief moment, he flew out of the entire dark world cluster!
“Boom—”
Luo Feng flew at ultra-high speed.
A world cluster was a region where a large number of Source Worlds existed densely together. Such places were considered prosperous regions, nurturing vast numbers of naturally born Chaotic Origin Lifeforms. However, between world clusters, the regions were incomparably desolate. Aside from a few rare special environments, living beings were almost nowhere to be seen.
And the 3,600 world clusters were regions selected by the Cultivator Lords—those with the most Source Worlds and the closest distances between them.
“My traveling speed is already quite fast compared to those Ancestors. But compared to Xingmang, it’s far inferior.” Luo Feng had experience traveling together with Xingmang.
Xingmang seemed to walk directly across a map, transcending space-time.
His own speed was far too slow in comparison.
As Luo Feng traveled, he contemplated this opponent.
Blood Crane Territory was a relatively small faction within the Infinite Chaotic Origin Space. This faction was born from a mysterious land!
This mysterious land had given birth to many lifeforms. Among them, the three strongest beings were all at the Ancestor level, calling themselves the ‘Blood Lord,’ the ‘Crane Lord,’ and the ‘Shadow Lord.’ The remaining lifeforms were World-level Chaotic Origin Lifeforms or weaker.
“The Infinite Chaotic Origin Space has birthed many ancient existences, but many of them do not consider themselves part of the ‘Naturally Born Chaotic Origin Faction,’” Luo Feng thought.
Especially those truly immortal beings—they were inherently transcendent and unwilling to involve themselves in the conflicts of that faction.
For example, the perfect sphere known as ‘Origin,’ and the perfect cube known as ‘Demon Ruins’! The two had similar forms of existence and were both quite peculiar. Yet ‘Origin’ considered itself part of the Naturally Born Chaotic Origin Faction and became one of the Nine Emperors. Meanwhile, ‘Demon Ruins’ simply ignored that faction entirely.
Many races had also been born from mysterious lands.
Blood Crane Territory gave birth to the Blood Crane Territory race.
Feather Realm gave birth to the Feather Realm race, which included the truly immortal ‘Feather Emperor.’
Giant God Realm gave birth to the Giant God race.
Infinite World gave birth to the Infinite Serpent Clan.
Though their strengths varied, in essence, there was not much difference between them. Yet the first two did not join the Naturally Born Chaotic Origin Faction, while the latter two became two of its great sacred lands.
The best food of the Infinite Serpent Clan was the ‘Source World Origin,’ and Source Worlds were the homelands of cultivators! To compete with the Cultivator faction, the Infinite Serpent Clan had to rely on the entire Naturally Born Chaotic Origin Faction.
Although the Giant God Realm did not care about the ‘Source World Origin,’ it valued other resources. Relying solely on absorbing Chaotic Origin power resulted in growth that was far too slow.
“If all these forces were forcibly unified into the ‘Naturally Born Chaotic Origin Faction,’ they would probably start fighting among themselves long ago,” Luo Feng thought. The Giant God race disliked conflict and could tolerate the Infinite Serpent Clan. But would other truly immortal existences be willing to bow before the Infinite Serpent Ancestor?
……
After spending more than ten days, Luo Feng arrived at the border region of the cultivators’ territory. Following the invisible life-sensing, he headed straight toward the ‘Shadow Lord’ of Blood Crane Territory.
“Within the Blood Crane Territory race, the Blood Lord keeps a low profile and rarely appears. The Crane Lord is relatively mild. Only the ‘Shadow Lord’ is domineering and overbearing.” Luo Feng already knew of this figure.
The one invading the cultivators’ territory was precisely this Shadow Lord, leading some of his clan members.
Luo Feng stopped in a vast void, gazing into the distance. Through life aura sensing, he had already locked onto the Shadow Lord’s position. At this moment, the Shadow Lord had merged into the vast space, occupying an extremely large region.
“So it is Lord Luo Feng who has arrived.” A voice echoed through the surrounding space. “You eight Cultivator Lords intend to occupy a full 3,600 world clusters. Isn’t that too greedy? I’ve only taken 16 world clusters—it’s not much, is it?”
“Shadow Lord of Blood Crane Territory, you’ve got quite the nerve!” Luo Feng said.
Previously, when it seemed the cultivator side was about to lose the war, the Icepeak faction and some other forces had seized the opportunity to occupy some world clusters.
But after the war ended, some weaker factions voluntarily withdrew.
Those still unwilling to retreat were very few—and all had some backing.
“I’m actually helping you,” the voice came from different layers of space-time. “You’ve occupied too much territory, which is why the Naturally Born Chaotic Origin Faction took action against you. If you occupied less, wouldn’t there be far fewer troubles?”
Luo Feng swept his gaze coldly across the surroundings. The opponent’s power permeated everywhere.
“Hmph.”
With a single thought, a vast Life-and-Death domain spread out from Luo Feng, crushing across every layer of space-time. All hidden shadows within space-time were obliterated, forcing them to gather in the distance into a massive figure.
It was an incomparably towering shadow, with a pair of blood-colored eyes staring at Luo Feng.
“I gave you a chance to withdraw earlier, but you refused,” Luo Feng said coldly. “Now you only have one path left. Hand over all the resources you seized from the cultivators’ territory, compensate three times that amount, and promise never to trespass into the cultivators’ territory again.”
“All the resources I worked so hard to seize—hand them all over, and compensate threefold?” The massive shadow let out a strange laugh. “Heh heh heh, interesting, interesting. I’ve always been the one taking from others—never the one at a loss.”
“Lord Luo Feng, your attitude makes me very unhappy! Sixteen world clusters now feel too few—I want thirty-two.” The massive shadow continued, “Otherwise, I will keep watching your cultivator territory forever, launching repeated assassinations without end!”
His voice echoed throughout the surrounding space-time.
“I’d like to see what your eight Cultivator Lords can do to me!” The blood-colored eyes of the massive shadow were filled with ferocity. Although the three Lords of Blood Crane Territory had not reached the level of true immortality, these ancient beings all possessed certain life-preserving methods.
The Shadow Lord, confident in his ability to survive, acted arrogantly and domineeringly. Previously, he only bullied weaker forces—but now he had set his sights on the cultivator faction!
“Very well!”
Standing there, Luo Feng’s gaze turned cold.
Boom—
Centered on Luo Feng, in an instant, billions of blade lights erupted from his body. Following the ‘life sensing,’ all of them descended upon the Shadow Lord’s body!
During the clash between the two great factions, it had been a confrontation of the highest intensity within the Infinite Chaotic Origin Space. Ordinary Ancestors played minimal roles. Even for Cultivator Lords, ordinary techniques were ineffective. Only when figures like Jin and Moman burned their main combat avatars could they influence the battle.
Luo Feng had been the same—many ordinary methods had been annihilated within the overlapping domains and combined powers of both sides, unable to penetrate the enemy formation.
But now—it was one-on-one!
Although Luo Feng’s Life-and-Death unified techniques were considered average in offensive power among Lords, when they descended upon the Shadow Lord, they still caused him to feel countless blade lights slicing and annihilating his body.
“What kind of technique is this? I can’t even dodge it.” The Shadow Lord felt panic.
Even though he had mastered the highest level of ‘Shadow’ power—allowing him to merge with space-time and all things—Luo Feng’s endless blade lights followed the ‘life aura,’ annihilating every component of his being. There was nowhere to escape.
“So weak.” Luo Feng, having just become a Lord, had faced battles of extreme intensity. Now, he simply felt that the Shadow Lord was too weak.
“Unite!”
With countless portions of his being annihilated, the Shadow Lord could only unify his life force. Only by becoming sufficiently strong could he withstand the billions of blade lights.
“Unified?”
Luo Feng instantly locked onto the enemy.
A dazzling blade light flashed—Luo Feng struck! Following the life aura, this terrifying strike could not be evaded. It pierced directly into the Shadow Lord’s chest! Even his escaping power was pierced through by strands of blade light!
This strike was overwhelmingly powerful, forcibly annihilating this body of the Shadow Lord, leaving behind only some treasures.
“No Life Core carried?” Luo Feng frowned slightly.
This was expected—and was precisely why Blood Crane Territory was troublesome.
Within the Infinite Chaotic Origin Space, some Ancestor-level beings lacked true immortality, so they devised alternative life-preserving methods. For example, not carrying their Life Core, instead hiding it in extremely hard-to-find special locations.
In doing so, their external avatars might only possess thirty percent of their strength—but even thirty percent of an Ancestor’s power was enough to sweep through all beings below that level.
The three Lords of Blood Crane Territory had all hidden their Life Cores deep within their birthplace—‘Blood Crane Territory.’ To this day, no one had found them.
Whoosh!
A strand of consciousness descended from afar, forming a shadow incarnation—it was the Shadow Lord’s avatar.
“Luo Feng!” the Shadow Lord roared. “If you return all my treasures, I can give you face and stop coming to the cultivators’ territory.”
“Return your treasures?”
Luo Feng had already stored the spoils—most of which were resources plundered from the cultivators’ territory. “You’re dreaming.”
“Luo Feng! I won’t let this go!” The Shadow Lord was furious. “I will come again and again to your territory, raiding endlessly! Everything I lost—I will take back!”
“I’ve heard that no one has ever found your Life Cores deep within the mysterious land ‘Blood Crane Territory’ and completely eradicated you,” Luo Feng said, looking at the incarnation. “I’d like to try.”
“You?” The Shadow Lord sneered, full of confidence in both his own power and the land that birthed him.
The power of Blood Crane Territory far surpassed that of a few Ancestors.
“If you’ve got the guts, come.” The Shadow Lord sneered. With that, the incarnation dissipated.
“Blood Crane Territory…”
Luo Feng knew clearly that destroying one avatar of the Shadow Lord posed no real threat. The opponent could nurture new powerful avatars and send them again. The only way to truly deter him was to strike at his lair.
“Let me see what’s so special about this Blood Crane Territory.”
With a thought, Luo Feng tore open a space-time passage and immediately left the cultivators’ territory, heading toward the distant location of Blood Crane Territory.
