Alex now got used to 3rd option being the worst choice, So after confirming that its reward does not predict the imminent future. He decisively chose the 2nd option.
It was a very obvious choice. In Alex's opinion, After the luck of the protagonist, It's not the golden finger that is the 2nd strongest weapon of his but it is a Halo of wisdom. Without this he will suffer very much at the beginning of the plot even with his golden finger.

Alex also politely replied to her, He also did a favor for her today. If he did not interfere, Then according to the common plot this guard will severely slap the protagonist and might even lose her job.
He shakes his head to throw out all these thoughts. Anyway now he doesn't have to worry about the low IQ of others. This way he should have a little more confidence in front of the protagonist.
