Chapter 2409: I did not take you for the romantic type.

"Overwhelming isn’t it?"

That was when Ithania and Luminia walked towards him and smiled.

"It is heart-warming."

Azriel smiled.

Ithania looked into his eyes and—

"You’ve created quite a strong wall around yourself."

Azriel looked at her and frowned, Ithania however, just looked at Aeliana and Samael and shook her head with a weak smile.

"I guess this is our fault for leaving you.

You were left with no one to talk to."

Luminia looked down as well.

Azriel looked at the two of them and—

"Yes, I feel overwhelmed."

He answered honestly.

The two women looked at him and he continued—

"I became the God of the Universe today, the supposedly strongest being in the Universe."

"The strongest being in the Universe huh..."

Luminia smiled.

She liked that title.

Soon, however, she frowned.

"Why does that make you feel overwhelmed?"

Ithania had the same question. As far as they knew Azriel, he would only nod at that title, thinking it was only obvious that he would become the strongest, not feel overwhelmed or burdened by it.

"Because I did not earn that title on my own."

"What...?"

The two women frowned.

Azriel then glanced at Nux who was dancing with his daughter Mira and—

"I wasn’t the one who defeated the enemies I was supposed to defeat."

"Enemies you weren’t supposed to defeat?"

Luminia frowned.

Ithania on the other hand, looked in the direction Azriel was looking at and...

"Azriel."

She called out.

"Why didn’t you fight him today when that child asked you?

Were you trying to give that boy some face in front of his children?"

That was what both Ithania and Luminia believed but...

"No."

Azriel shook his head.

The women frowned, Azriel looked at them and—

"He told me I would lose."

"Huh...?"

Ithania blinked.

"And you believed that?"

Luminia raised her eyebrow.

"Aeliana said the same thing."

Azriel explained himself.

"Azriel, she’s a child who’s in love with her husband, she isn’t the most ideal person to take an opinion fro—"

"She knows how strong I am."

Azriel interrupted her.

Then, he looked at Nux and—

"He does too.

I am the one who doesn’t know how strong he is."

The women’s frowns deepened. Azriel turned to them again and—

"What I do know is that he is the one who defeated the enemies I told you about—

In less than a minute.

And it took that long because he was playing with them."

Azriel’s face then turned even more solemn and he spoke honestly.

"And even at the level I am today, let alone in less than a minute, I am not certain I can defeat all five of them at all."

And the moment they heard those words, the women widened their eyes in disbelief.

"So... it wasn’t you saving his face...

It was... him saving yours?"

Luminia muttered.

"Yes."

Azriel answered honestly.

"You... actively backed away from a fight...?"

Luminia asked and this time—

Azriel did not say anything but the silence alone was enough of an answer.

The two women looked at their son-in-law with horrified looks on their faces.

Just...

Just what sort of monster had their daughter married?

And as if he sensed their gazes, Nux stopped for a slight second, turned towards them, then he grinned and bowed respectfully, greeting his Mothers-in-Law.

And Luminia and Ithania...

They could only smile back until finally, Aeliana pulled them into the gathering, leaving Azriel alone.

Azriel frowned at that, usually Aeliana would bring him as well, then why...

"Father-in-Law."

That was when he heard a voice from behind him. His eyes widened in shock, he looked back and saw Nux standing right behind him.

He was just there...

When did he... get here?

He didn’t sense him at all.

"So that’s why..."

He muttered out loud.

"Hmm?"

Nux tilted his head.

"Nothing."

Azriel shook his head.

"Why are you here?"

"I’d like to show you something."

"What?"

He asked.

Nux touched Azriel’s back and before Azriel could understand what was happening or react to it, Nux moved him into an unknown space even the Universe couldn’t sense and—

"AAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!"

They were greeted with gut-wrenching screams.

Azriel looked at the beings screaming and his eyes widened.

"They are..."

"Yep, the Infinities."

Azriel looked at Nux, horrified.

"They have been... like this?"

He asked.

Nux just shrugged.

"I left them for you.

You can do to them what you see fit."

"Why leave them to me?"

Azriel frowned.

"I thought they might be useful to you."

"They would be useful to you too."

Azriel knew because he knew Nux had the monstrous ability of devouring other beings’ Laws.

But—

"They are not."

Nux just shrugged.

"What...?"

Azriel blinked.

"They are useless to me."

Nux repeated.

And Azriel...

He didn’t know what to say.

"How strong have you become, really?"

Nux didn’t answer that, so Azriel changed the question.

"If you and I fight, who would win?"

"I told you that before."

Nux looked at Azriel.

"I still need an answer."

"I will win."

"How sure are you?"

Azriel asked.

"If that’s your way of asking what your chances of defeating me are—

They are zero."

"I am the Universe’s God, Nux."

Azriel felt like he was being underestimated.

But Nux just shook his head.

"It won’t matter if I simply destroy the Universe you rule."

"What...?"

Azriel blinked.

"I have destroyed seven Universes so far, Father-in-Law.

And I have killed three Universe’s Gods who were far more experienced than you are right now."

Azriel looked at Nux for a long time.

He searched for pride, for exaggeration, for playfulness.

He did not find it.

Nux was not trying to flaunt, he was not trying to humiliate him.

He was simply stating a fact.

And Azriel—

"I see.

You have finally achieved your goal, huh."

He commented with a light smile.

Nux looked at him.

Azriel was a man who had seen him live his own life hundreds of times inside the illusion, he knew what his mindset was, he knew what his ultimate goal was.

To become strong enough so no being could threaten him or his wives’ safety.

And—

And he had achieved that goal.

"Yes, I have."

Nux smiled back.

Azriel nodded, then he looked at the Five Infinities screaming in front of him and—

"I don’t need them either."

"Are you sure? I left them here for your sake."

Azriel looked at them, still screaming in agony, almost begging to be released.

"Can’t you hold them here for a bit longer? Or is there a limit to your power?"

Azriel questioned with a provocative look on his face.

And that made Nux smile.

"You can keep them here as long as you want."

"Good."

Azriel nodded.

"I don’t need them, at least not right now.

I currently have... more important things to do."

Azriel spoke with a calm, genuine, almost hypnotic smile on his face. A smile Nux had never seen before, even when Azriel was with Aeliana.

"Look at you~"

Nux grinned.

"So eager to return to Mothers-in-Law~

I did not take you for the romantic type, my dear Father-in-Law."

He tried to tease, Azriel however, only glared at him and Nux raised his hand in defeat.

"Alright alright, let’s go back."

Then, he brought Azriel back and the two joined the feast.

"I have destroyed seven Universes so far, Father-in-Law. And I have killed three Universe’s Gods”??????

wtf? This would have been awesome to read. Why he did it, who they were and how easy.

He destroyed the one universe and it said he never wanted to do that again. That he didn’t want to hurt the multiverse or some shit. And we don’t get any details???

This is the perfect example of how they went on forever about unimportant shit and then just end it. Damn
