Chapter 2403: The Revival.

Three thousand years after the five Infinities were locked in a space, the Universe had... changed.

The Four Supreme Worlds still ruled the Universe, they still made and implemented the rules and the remaining consciousnesses of the Infinities, Lord Light, Son of Darkness, Balance Interpreter, and Eternity’s Archive Holder, took command.

No one knew where the Infinities were, not even their own consciousnesses, but the people in the Universe believed they were alive and waited for their return.

As for Azriel—

He was standing in front of a smooth, white, shining ball floating in the empty void. It looked calm, silent at first, but the longer one stared at it, the heavier it felt.

It was the Core of the Universe.

*Picture*

Azriel stared at it and suddenly—

BOOOOOOOOM

The pressure around him shot up.

Infinity.

Yes, Azriel Ruinous had broken through and become an Infinity.

The best part?

All other Infinities in the Universe were no longer here to stop him, if Azriel wanted, he now had the power to make the Universe submit to him.

But—

"You know I do not want it."

He spoke as he looked at how the Core had begun trembling the moment he released his Aura.

Bzzz

The Core buzzed, its trembling eased at those words.

"But you also know what I want."

Azriel communicated, the Core paused for a moment, as if it was thinking it through, then—

Bzzz

It buzzed again, as if nodding.

"So you will let me do it?"

Bzzz

The Core buzzed again.

Azriel slowly stepped towards it, the Core trembled, still a little nervous, but it didn’t exactly have any other choice but to trust him because Azriel could easily get what he wanted through force.

Azriel gently made a connection with the Universe’s Core and closed his eyes—

BZZZZ

The Universe’s Core buzzed, Azriel saw countless Souls move in his head and very quickly, his eyes fell on two particular Souls.

Souls he recognized the instant he saw them.

Then—

He pulled those two souls out.

The two of them had been washed clean many times, they had lived countless lives Azriel did not care about, he simply searched through all the lives the two of them had lived until he got what he wanted.

Ithania Ruinous.

Luminia Ruinous.

Azriel stared at the two souls, for a moment, the strongest being in the Universe could not move because the intense emotions he felt froze him.

His heart screamed, his mind began to remember every single thing he had buried deep inside to protect himself from the pain, but his body moved.

He raised his hand.

Bzzz

The Universe’s Core helped him, memories of all other lives were gently wiped away, then the memories that had already been erased returned.

Then—

The Power of Life and Creation moved and their bodies were formed. Azriel made them exactly like he remembered them to be.

He gave Ithania her long blue hair, pale, flawless skin, and beautiful crimson eyes. Luminia had black hair, fiery red eyes, and a curvy hourglass body that would make any man drool.

And as he looked at them for a while—

His thoughts were stuck.

It was them.

It really was them.

His wives.

The ones he had failed to protect.

They... really were right in front of him.

Azriel’s body trembled as he waited patiently and in about a minute—

Their eyelids trembled and... they slowly opened their eyes and looked around in confusion.

To Azriel, it had been hundreds of thousands of years, but to them, it was only a few moments ago when they were surrounded by enemies, forced to end their lives so that they weren’t captured and used against Azriel.

But—

They self-destructed, they made sure they self-destructed then... how were they alive?

Ithania looked at her own hands, Luminia touched her face, their confusion couldn’t be stronger.

"How am I..."

Luminia spoke. Ithania turned towards her and was surprised to see her.

"You too..."

The two women looked at each other, then, they sensed another presence beside them and the moment they turned towards him—

They froze.

Not just the two of them, but Azriel too.

He tried to speak, his lips moved, no words came out and—

The strongest being in the Universe... started crying.

"Azriel..."

Seeing his state, Ithania’s confusion broke and was instantly replaced with worry. She stepped forward, Luminia moved with her and Azriel—

In his emotionally vulnerable state, he only opened his arms and the instant he did—

The two women moved into his embrace and the moment he held them, his body trembled strongly and more tears rolled down his cheeks.

"You are back... you really are back..."

He spoke in a hoarse, unbelievably weakened voice.

"Back...?"

Luminia frowned.

Ithania on the other hand, was far quicker to connect the dots and—

"You fool..."

She whispered, burying her head into his chest.

"How long did you suffer alone?"

She asked.

At that question, Azriel closed his eyes, more tears streamed down his eyes and—

"Too long."

That was the only thing he could say.

Those words made Ithania cry as well. At this point, Luminia too, had connected the dots and tightened her hold around Azriel, angry at herself at the thought of what she put him through.

Of course, Azriel didn’t blame them, he didn’t even think about what had happened, he simply hugged the two women in his arms gently, while his heart that had been burdened with pain for years, finally eased for the first time in such a long time.

"Heeh? Looks like I came at the right time."

That’s when a voice came from behind.

Azriel’s eyes opened. Ithania and Luminia turned instantly, their weapons appearing in their hands in an instant as their eyes fell on the golden-eyed man, looking at them with a playful smile on his face.

"Nux."

Azriel called out with a solemn face. Ithania and Luminia frowned, they did not know that name.

Was it an enemy?

Or an ally?

They wondered in their heads.

Ithania, looking at Azriel’s expression, felt it was the former and Azriel’s next words only made her surer.

"You shouldn’t be here."

"Still as welcoming as ever, I see."

The author really had to mention that they lived other lives.

I know the universe erases memories and makes people reincarnate multiple times.

But the author could have come up with anything to say they didn't reincarnate.

With them reincarnating over and over, it really gives the impression that the vampire was a cuckold, which is pretty unpleasant.

The last few chapters felt a bit rushed.

But before that, the author was already dragging the story out; in my opinion, this novel should have had about 1,000 fewer chapters.

The author wastes words and creates drawn-out arcs for no reason at all.

A novel can have 10,000 chapters, but they have to actually advance the story.

From my perspective, the author has been wasting words to prolong the novel since around chapter 800; out of every 100 chapters, only 5 or 10 are important, and the rest is just filler.

I only kept reading because I wanted to know the ending, but there was so much nonsense padding the story that I don't even really care about the conclusion anymore.

          yep completely agree

when i read something id usually try to see it through regardless of the overall quality but i found a lot of things in this novel such as prose that was not really the best - im not too picky since writing usually has a lot of qualities to it (not just one skill) so errors here and there i wouldnt mind but

with nux being so much stronger than the eternities and dragging that out (not even really arcs) in the chapters

characters speaking the same (the infinities here and there) or similar speech structure
the time skips too of like 1000 years or more (in the time trial) - it sorta makes yniel or the place where the "story really starts" a bit pointless in the sense of too much escalation and abstraction, everything built (for a lot of chapters) would be gone there - that's fine enough to me since its a cultivation novel (where stuff like that's common) but i could go on and on about the fillers or the inconsistencies in some the chapters that it's hard to even miss

in fact i would say it could have ended much earlier and the author could have just made a sequel again or a in universe continuation but i guess it is what it is, in fact didnt the author do that before with the ruinous family? could have just done it again instead

Def rushed. Basically the ending shoved into 30 really short chapters.
