He gauged Bai Yu'er from top to bottom. She was of impeccable looks with shiny, supple skin and long legs. She truly lived up to her reputation as a renowned beauty.
The red mark on the center of her brow was as red as fire, making her look even more alluring.
It was as if the mark itself bore flames that could burn the world down.
Bai Yu'er was definitely exceptional in more ways than one.
Jun Xiaoyao was initially planning of taking her in as some sort of pawn if she were to prove obedient, letting her take care of the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix in his stead.
From the looks of things at the moment, however, it became clear to him that she was yet another one of those cold and aloof beauties who had too many men fawning over her. She likely assumed that all men throughout the world would cater to her every whim.
Jun Xiaoyao shook his head as he thought to himself, 'Other commonly transcended ones might have just willingly licked her boots. Unfortunately for her, I'm not one of those people…'
Jun Xiaoyao was of invincible talents, unparalleled status, and an unbelievable background.
There was no doubt that he was an extremely attractive bachelor.
Jun Linglong was one such woman who coveted his favor.
Yet, Bai Yu'er was apparently nowhere near as smart as Jun Linglong. Conversely, she thought too highly of herself after having so many people fawning over her for so long.
She even had to audacity to put up airs in front of Jun Xiaoyao.
Jun Xiaoyao wore a faint smile and asked, "May I ask how long have we known each other?"
Bai Yu'er was slightly stunned.
She wondered why was he bringing up something so irrelevant.
Nevertheless, Bai Yu'er answered, "This is the first time we've meet, sir."
"So, you wanted to demand the Immortality Herb from someone you just met. While I did agree to it before, did I say anything about giving it to the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix for free? Besides, what does the well-being of the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix, has to do with me? Is your father's well-being that important to my position?"
Jun Xiaoyao wiped that smile off of his face and asked with a cold tone.
Only then did Bai Yu'er realize what was going on, and her expression instantly shifted.
All those questions that Jun Xiaoyao threw at her rendered her utterly speechless, making her appear awkward and unnatural.
Jun Linglong did tell her that a genius of the Jun family was willing to give her a stalk of the Immortality Herb, but the noble lady never said anything about it being free.
Furthermore, the life and death of the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix and its king did have nothing to do with Jun Xiaoyao at all.
"But sir, you have no lack of the Immortality Herb. You could just give out one and save a life, which would in turn save billions. Why wouldn't you do so?"
Bai Yu'er continued to stand at her supposed moral high ground.
Jun Xiaoyao's expression remained completely cold as he went on to answer, "Simple. The Immortality Herb is mine. I could feed it to a dog if I wanted."
Bai Yu'er trembled slightly after hearing that. Her face was ashen as she felt very insulted.
What he said pretty much meant that her father was less than even a dog.
Bai Yu'er grew furious at that thought. Without thinking much about it, she immediately blurted out, "Why would you bother finding excuses, sir? You're just after my body, aren't you? Joke's on you; I'm engaged to someone else. I'm sorry, but this is not a condition that I could fulfill!"
Jun Linglong's expression changed drastically after hearing that.
She never thought that Bai Yu'er would say something so offensive.
Bai Yu'er realized what she just said before long and felt a chill running all over her, feeling her expression turned as pale as paper.
She actually blurted out her thoughts just like that.
"Hehehe…"
Jun Xiaoyao chuckled.
Bai Yu'er felt even more fearful after hearing his chuckle.
Jun Xiaoyao then immediately wrapped his arm around Jun Linglong's soft, curvy waist.
Five years passed, and Jun Linglong was currently 19 years old. She looked stunning with a figure that had just matured; every part of her body was of the right proportions.
Despite her astute, stable state of mind and thought patterns, Jun Linglong was unable to help but slightly moan when Jun Xiaoyao simply wrapped his arm around her like that. She was blushing right away.
Jun Xiaoyao wore a rather intriguing expression, yet his eyes remained uncaring.
"Why don't you take a piss and have a good look at yourself, eh? Do you think that a divine child such as myself would need to do such a thing?"
"If I were to lust over someone, I already have Jun Linglong, haven't I? What are you compared to her?"
His words caused Bai Yu'er to feel very ashamed of herself, her face turning red instantly.
Jun Linglong truly was much more exceptional than her in so many ways.
However, what struck her even harder was what Jun Xiaoyao called himself.
"I, the divine child!"
'Oh gosh, is this man the divine child of the Jun family?'
Bai Yu'er felt as if she was struck by lightning as a storm was raging in her mind. Her legs trembled and balked, causing her to fall to the ground.
A divine child of a Clan of the Ancients was an absolute symbol of status.
Bai Yu'er thought he was merely one of the more exceptional geniuses found in the entire Jun family.
She never thought that she would come to face the divine child instead.
"Sir Divine Child, please forgive my rudeness!" Bai Yu'er knelt on the ground and kowtowed furiously. She didn't that her long, fiery hair was gathering dust.
Jun Xiaoyao continued to wear a cold expression.
Jun Linglong, who was still in his arms, was feeling rather dizzy over the treatment.
Her heartbeat raced furiously after hearing Jun Xiaoyao claiming that he could be lusting over her.
Jun Xiaoyao looked at Bai Yu'er, who was still begging for forgiveness on the ground, and shook her head.
"You could only reap what you sow. That's something that even children would know, yet you don't seem to know about that much…" Jun Xiaoyao continued coldly.
Bai Yu'er was thinking too highly of herself, believing that she could get her hands on an Immortality Herb for free.
He waved his sleeve dismissively, turning around and left the place.
Jun Linglong steeled herself for a little bit and sighed at Bai Yu'er. "You actually behaved that rudely before the divine child. Looks like I can't help you anymore."
"No please, my father needs the Immortality Herb to save his life. He won't have many years left otherwise!" Bai Yu'er began to weep, deeply regretting what she just did.
Had she known about his status sooner, she would have just agreed to the conditions without hesitation.
Her arrogance and haughtiness brought about her downfall.
"You really should've known better." Jun Linglong expressed her condolences.
There was simply no way she would have offended Jun Xiaoyao for Bai Yu'er's sake, who was actually little more than an acquaintance.
"I'd be willing to kneel before the divine child's bed chambers and beg for his forgiveness!" Bai Yu'er continued kowtowing before the two of them, making her fair forehead became bloody.
Be it for the sake of the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix, her father, or herself, she had to earn Jun Xiaoyao's forgiveness.
Jun Linglong shook her head slightly and left the princess be.
It didn't take long for the members of the Jun family to realize that a beautiful woman dressed in red was kneeling before Jun Xiaoyao's chambers at the Heavenly Emperor Palace the whole time. Deep regret and determination were written all over her beautiful face.
"Huh? Isn't that the princess of the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix? What's she doing there kneeling?"
"Shhh. Rumor has it that she got on Sir Divine Child's bad side. I think it would be best if we stayed out of this mess."
The people of the Jun family all avoided Bai Yu'er, treating her as little more than thin air.
Jun Xiaoyao was lying down in a spirit pool in the Heavenly Emperor Palace, relaxing.
"Sir…" Jun Linglong walked in.
"What? Do you wish to speak on her behalf?" Jun Xiaoyao asked with a faint grin on his face.
Jun Linglong pondered for a bit before she said, "Not at all. She got what she deserved. I'm just thinking that helping her Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix would still serve a purpose."
As someone with the Heart of Qiqiao Linglong, her mind was no doubt astute.
"Heh, I've my plans for her. She's too much of a b*tch; someone needs to teach her a lesson. Just leave her be for the time being," Jun Xiaoyao said nonchalantly.
While he indeed had no liking for Bai Yu'er, he was not about to just give up on the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix.
He could only gain better control of the kingdom if Bai Yu'er were to serve as his liaison.
"You're pretty naughty, Sir Divine Child." Jun Linglong rolled her eyes at him for a bit. While she was behaving a little out of her place, it made her look rather cute.
Despite being someone with the Heart of Qiqiao Linglong, she was unable to determine exactly what the man before her was thinking.
"If I truly am as naughty as you say, I would've gone for somewhere else other than the waist," As Jun Xiaoyao spoke, his gaze traced the bodyline of Jun Linglong downwards from the waist.
The line of her hips remained full and alluring despite being covered by her palace attire.
"I will head out, for now, Sir Divine Child." Jun Linglong sensed his gaze. Her face turning completely red before leaving the place.
Jun Xiaoyao wore a casual grin.
He thought flirting with his very smart maid at times was quite a fun way of relaxing.
"Bai Yu'er has a fiancé eh? Well, I sure hope that he's someone who knows his place…"
Jun Xiaoyao was determined to tame Bai Yu'er because he could make good use of her.
He deemed that it was better to just tame her into becoming his slave and pawn, instead of just killing her outright.
As for her fiancé, he didn't care about who he was or where he was from at all.
After all, hardly anyone of the younger generation in the entire Huangtian Mystic Realm was of greater status and background than him.
