Chapter 2073: Lolth’s Invasion |

RUMBLE!
From the shadows surged a colossal abomination: a writhing mass of countless glowing red eyes, enormous spider legs, and massive dragon heads coated in purple and black scales. Its thunderous roars shook the very air.
"THIS’LL DO! COME TO ME AND FEED ME YOUR POWER, CHOSEN ONES! I’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DEVOUR A HERO! HAHAHAHA!"
"Wha...?!"
Everyone gasped in horror as the gigantic monstrosity charged toward them. Nothing made sense anymore.
"Who the hell is that?!" Celeste shouted.
"You think I know?!" Zephyrus shot back.
"It’s coming! Run!" Ruby cried.
"Are you kidding me?!" Celeste screamed. "Thanatos! Shield Form!!!"
RUMBLE!
Her spear exploded into thousands of smaller blades that instantly fused back together into a gigantic black shield oozing with demonic and miasmic energy.
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
Hundreds of beams slammed into the shield. It absorbed the barrage and grew stronger, yet the monstrous giant kept firing relentlessly, pushing them backward with raw overwhelming power.
"It’s still coming!!!" Celeste panicked. She poured more magic into the air and summoned twisting black spheres from the sky. "Void Rain!!!"
After countless hours of painful training, Celeste unleashed her newest spell. Dozens of giant black orbs hurtled toward the titanic creature, detonating in a chain of massive explosions.
"GRRRR... HEHEHE...! THAT’S NOTHING COMPARED TO MY POWER, YOU PITIFUL MORTAL!"
The creature remained unscathed. It tore through the shield, shattering it into pieces, and charged at Kevin with even greater speed.
"Damn it! Thanatos! Gauntlet Form!" Celeste roared.
She kicked off the air and soared upward as the cursed spear obeyed her will, transforming into a pair of massive demonic fists wrapped around her arms. "HAAAAAH!"
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRAAASH!
With fearless resolve, Celeste pushed the monstrous entity back again and again. Yet its divine power was overwhelming. No matter how hard she fought, it began to overpower her.
"PITIFUL LITTLE THING. WHY DON’T YOU BECOME MY MEAL?!"
The creature laughed maniacally as it swung a giant mantis scythe, slicing through her gauntlets and ripping her arms apart. The blade continued downward, splitting her stomach open.
"Gaaaaah?!"
"CELESTEEEEE!"
The group cried out in terror. Mist quickly nocked an arrow, closed her eyes, then opened them again, her pupils blazing with golden light.
"Thank you for buying me time!!!"
She poured every ounce of her power into a single arrow and released it. The projectile tore through the air like divine lightning, piercing straight through the monster’s body and leaving a gaping hole.
"G-Gah...! W-Wha...?!"
BOOOMMM!!!
The arrow’s holy energy—completely opposite to the creature’s dark nature—erupted violently. Half of the monster’s body exploded into bloody chunks and crashed to the ground with a deafening thud.
"Amazing!" Celica exclaimed. "Ah! Celeste!"
Lara immediately pulled Celeste back to the group using a giant hand made of light spirits and began healing her with the soothing power of nature spirits. Though her wounds closed, her arms were completely gone, disintegrated by the attack.
"Celeste!" Lara cried. "Are you okay?!"
"You scared us half to death!" Mist said, voice trembling. "Your arms...!"
"Eugh..." Celeste coughed weakly. "Fucking hell... Is that thing dead yet?"
"I don’t know..." Zephyrus narrowed his eyes, staring down at the corpse. It still hadn’t faded away.
"But your arms!" Ruby sobbed. "They’re..."
"I’m fine..." Celeste sat down heavily. "I’ve been through worse. Thanatos, return. Arm form."
The black metal of her demonic spear reshaped itself into a pair of powerful mechanical arms, obsidian-black and exactly the same size as before.
"This’ll do for now," she said. "Once this is over, I’ll take a strong elixir and regrow them. Don’t worry, Ruby."
"O-Okay..." Ruby sighed, feeling utterly helpless. "I was so useless... I couldn’t do anything."
RUMBLE!
"GAAAAHHHHH!"
To their horror, the battle was far from over. Just as Zephyrus prepared to destroy the corpse, the body suddenly rose again. The same black miasma that had summoned the creature flowed back into it, sealing its wounds and empowering it even further.
"I will not die so easily...! This is a Divine Avatar created with my own divine power!" the entity laughed. "Unless you possess power that can rival my divinity, you cannot defeat me! HAHAHAHAHA!"
The moment they heard that manic laughter, everyone who had fought her before—alongside Sylphy and the other heroes—recognized the voice.
"T-That’s... Lolth?!" Celeste gasped. "That bitch is still alive?!"
RUMBLE!
Her monstrous form leaped toward them once more, using dimensional spiderwebs to close the distance in a single heartbeat.
"DIE!"
Zephyrus clenched his teeth and activated his Phoenix Armor and full aura to protect everyone. Lara summoned a massive wall of spiritual energy. Celica merged all her golems into a single defender. Mist created layers of holy barriers. Celeste reformed her spear into a shield again. Ruby could only watch, powerless.
BOOOMMM!!!
A massive black fist clad in obsidian armor smashed into their defenses, hurling the entire group downward. They crashed violently into the ground as a tremendous explosion ripped through the dungeon, shattering half of it in seconds. Shockwaves tore through space itself while countless more explosions rained down as the monster descended, laughing wildly.
"DIE! DIE, YOU PITIFUL WORMS! THIS IS PAYBACK FOR EVERYTHING YOU DID TO ME BEFORE! DIE AND NEVER COME BACK!!!"
Her titanic fists came crashing down again and again. Trapped in pure defense against such overwhelming power, the group could only endure as the relentless explosions slowly ground away their barriers, shields, and spells.
BOOOMMM!!!

BOOOMMM!!!
BOOOMMM!!!
The entire Stone Cathedral was nearly reduced to ruins. The group now found themselves in a vast, flat expanse of broken stone, desperately holding on as explosions chased them without mercy.
"D-Damn it! We can’t keep this up!" Celeste screamed. "We’re not even fighting back!"
"What the hell can we do?!" Ruby cried, shaking with fear. "That thing’s a god! How are we supposed to beat a god?!"
