Chapter 460: Cho Hyejin’s Instruction Manual (5)

Lee Ji-Hye was the most feminine woman based on my standards, so I made her join this operation. Cha Hee-Ra was the type who preferred comfortable clothes rather than stylish ones, while Elena’s face didn’t really require any makeup.

As for Kasugano Yuno, it was actually difficult to believe that she was from the modern world because the clothes she often wore reminded me of the 90s—no, she actually looked like she was from the Meiji Restoration period.

Honestly, I couldn’t even begin to describe Jung Ha-Yan. It seemed like she was doing her best, but she was still lacking in many parts. She reminded me strongly of a college student who had just started wearing makeup.

If I were to categorize the women around me, I would say that Dialugia and Elena were in the same category. However, they weren’t even humans, so it would be a bit unfair to mention them.

Sun Hee-Young was the closest to my ideal type, and I was sure that her natural look could seduce many men, but…

‘She wouldn’t be the right person for this operation…’

Lee Ji-Hye was the mother of Bitcherella, so there was no need to bring Sun Hee-Young into this.

Lee Ji-Hye was the master of transformation and disguise. I wasn’t in a position to judge other people’s appearance, but Lee Ji-Hye looked pretty ordinary.

Unlike the monsters around me, she was petite and cute.

She wasn’t voluptuous like Cha Hee-Ra, she didn’t have a well-defined face like Kasugano Yuno, and she also couldn’t be compared to Dialugia or Elena. If I had to compare her to Elena, Elena was a peacock, and Lee Ji-Hye was a baby sparrow.

However, when I imagined Lee Ji-Hye standing next to the others, I couldn’t see that big of a difference.

Lee Ji-Hye was a beautiful and charming woman to me. I thought it was like magic because even though she wasn’t born with gorgeous feathers like someone else, the baby sparrow brought colorful feathers from somewhere, and she also knew how to showcase herself better than anyone else. I wasn’t sure if I felt this way because of her characteristic or because I was her soulmate, but that was how she looked in my eyes.

She was amazing, no matter what angle I used to look at her.

I could also remember that even during the tutorial dungeon, she already looked pretty despite her ordinary features. This meant that even though there weren’t any bathrooms in the tutorial dungeon, she still managed to take care of herself.

Upon recalling the past, goosebumps suddenly broke out all over me.

‘What’s up with her?’

I wasn’t sure if the others were the same, but Lee Ji-Hye had never stopped taking care of herself.

She understood better than anyone that appearance and personality were enough to make people interested in others, so she wouldn’t just stand idly by after seeing Jo Hye-Jin. Jo Hye-Jin hadn’t been taking care of herself, and Lee Ji-Hye’s blunt comment hurt Jo Hye-Jin’s doubting heart.

“Is she really a woman?” Lee Ji-Hye asked me.

“If you’re asking biologically, then yes, I am. My gender—” Jo Hye-Jin responded.

“That’s not what I’m asking. Well, I shouldn’t really criticize since everyone’s lifestyle is different, and there are many people out there. I’m actually more surprised than you are because it seems like you’re living a life that’s completely different from mine. Ah! It seems like you’re somewhat interested in beauty, seeing that you’re managing your nails,” Lee Ji-Hye commented.

“It gets in the way while training, so…” Jo Hye-Jin muttered.

“...” I had no idea what to say.

“A-Anyway, it’s a disaster. Fortunately, you’re naturally pretty, so I’m sure you’ll look a lot better with some work. I’m sure you already know, but please keep this a secret from Yeon-Joo unni. I feel like I’m helping her rival, so I don’t really feel comfortable with all this. Anyway, Do you not wear makeup at all?” asked Lee Ji-Hye.

“They get erased if I sweat a lot, so I don’t…” replied Jo Hye-Jin.

“Waterproof makeup doesn’t exist here, but we can use magic for that. A simple coating spell can take care of that. I think it’s more like you’re not interested in makeup. There are makeup shops all over Lindel, and you really haven’t been to one of them? Even the Black Swan Guild had launched many shops…” Lee Ji-Hye muttered.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t have much time,” Jo Hye-Jin apologized.

“You’re just making an excuse. You just have to wake up an hour earlier every day and sleep thirty minutes later than usual. I should take you to a shop later. You’re lacking in many areas, but it should be fine. There are lots of makeup here that can replace the makeup of the modern world, so it should be okay.”

”Now… let’s see. We can use matte lipstick for your lips… and what’s that blue armor over there? Is that what you usually wear? Even if it’s just armor, you should still consider the style…” said Lee Ji-Hye.

“I-Isn’t the color pretty?” she asked.

“It’s not. I feel like that’s the color Bonobono would turn into if he were constipated,” Lee Ji-Hye replied.

“Ye-Ri picked it out with me,” she commented.

‘Wow, Kim Ye-Ri! You’re so mean.’

I told her earlier that her tacky armor was bothering me. I had never imagined that Kim Ye-Ri had picked it out with her, but I was sure that she picked that armor to bring Jo Hye-Jin down. If that weren’t the case, then Kim Ye-Ri just had really bad tastes.

Anyway, the situation wasn’t bad. I wasn’t sure exactly what Lee Ji-Hye was doing, but it looked like it was effective. I wanted to give her a thumbs-up because she walked in and made remarks without holding back.

The way she spoke with confidence and certainty made her look like a true expert in this field. Well, she was actually an expert, so it was only natural for her to behave that way.

“You don’t have anything planned today, right?” Lee Ji-Hye asked.

“I have afternoon training, and I have some work to handle later,” Jo Hye-Jin replied.

“I think it would be best if you get rid of the afternoon training,” she suggested.

“What?”

“I’m telling you that you should get rid of the afternoon training. Follow me. I’ll show you how you should wash up. I need to see what kind of products you’re using because it actually messed your hair up this badly. Wait here, oppa,” she said.

“Okay,” I replied.

Lee Ji-Hye grabbed the hesitant Jo Hye-Jin’s hand and dragged her to her bathroom.

It wasn’t with them, but the issue was that I could still hear them.

“You need to change your underwear as well. The design of your underwear doesn’t fit your age. I’m sure if someone saw this, they would run away in shock. If I were a guy, I would run away as well,” Lee JI-Hye commented.

“...”

“And it looks like there are many places that have to be cleaned up. Hold on,” she continued.

“W-Where are you touching?” Jo Hye-Jin stuttered.

“Stay still,” said Lee Ji-Hye.

“Stop touching me! Stop it! I won’t stand still and watch,” yelled Jo Hye-jin.

“I’m not doing this because I want to! I’m just trying to help, so be quiet,” yelled Lee Ji-Hye back.

Ah!

There was a short scream, and what followed afterward were suppressed moans. I had no idea what was going on, but when they emerged, Lee Ji-Hye had a satisfied look, while Jo Hye-Jin looked like she was hurt.

Lee Ji-Hye proceeded to make Jo Hye-Jin sit in front of the makeup table. Afterward, she started displaying her skills while talking. I knew this was a bit of an exaggeration, but I could see how Jo Hye-Jin’s demeanor was changing in real time.

“I brought the products that I use for now along with a few expensive ones. Since I can’t help you every time, I think it’s best if you learn it yourself. Ah, let’s take care of your hair first. I won’t cut it a lot, and I’ll also give you wavy hair,” Lee Ji-Hye said.

“Okay,” answered Jo Hye-Jin.

“I’m going to clean up your eyebrows. I’ll make a line, so all you have to do is draw your eyebrows by following the line,” she instructed.

“O-Okay.”

“Open your mouth slightly. Good…” she mumbled.

Hm…”

“Applying it naturally rather than painting it on your lips will make it look better on you, and this is why I’m jealous of people who are naturally pretty. Your skin is really good as well. Is it because you exercise a lot that your skin is really supple?”

”Anyway, you have a great body as well. I’m consistently taking care of myself, but… this is just cheating. Your proportions are great, and if you were on Earth, you could have been a model. I’m not joking, really,” Lee Ji-Hye said.

“T-Thank you…” Jo Hye-Jin stuttered.

“You don’t have to be so shy. You should feel confident in yourself. Pretty people should know better than anyone that they’re pretty. It’s tiring, but if you use your beauty well, your life will be a lot easier. Lookism exists here as well. It will be really easy for you to seduce men with a face like this,” Lee Ji-Hye continued.

“...”

I had no idea what was going on. Lee Ji-Hye was stringing up words that I couldn’t quite grasp, so it was only natural that I wouldn’t understand what she was talking about. One thing I was sure of was that she was doing a really good job because Jo Hye-Jin’s dramatic change was enough to make my jaw drop.

‘I finally understand why Yul-Ha was always watching those beauty YouTubers.’

It was fun. Lee Ji-Hye talked a lot, so there wasn’t even a moment of silence.

The way she drew on Jo Hye-Jin’s face reminded me of Bob Ross.

‘I think she’ll be really successful as a Youtuber...’

Jo Hye-Jin’s real-time transformation was hyping me up. Soon, a guild staff member brought piles of clothes into the room. It was my first time seeing dozens of hangers in a large room, which didn’t really fit in Jo Hye-Jin’s room which only had a single closet.

There were so many clothes that the guild staff member had to split them up. I couldn’t see Jo Hye-Jin anymore, thanks to the mountain of clothes, but I could hear that they were almost done.

“Stand up and try on some clothes. Is there a particular style that you like?” Lee Ji-Hye asked.

“Not really, but… if I had to pick, how about that blue dress?” Jo Hye-Jin asked.

“Why do you like blue so much? And you should pick out a few casual clothes. Don’t you think it’s strange to wear a dress while working? There are clothes made for certain places, so keep that in mind…”

”Anyway, Let’s do something simple without going overboard…” Lee Ji-Hye made a decision and said, ”This is my personal preference, but I honestly don’t like overdoing things. There are people who always wear strange decorations on their heads, and that style is completely out of the question because it’s not like you’re cosplaying…”

”The point is that basic accessories and a bag are enough. Stand up and raise your arms. Take off your clothes,” ordered Lee Ji-Hye.

“But…”

“He can’t see you, anyway. Let me place a few outfits on you. All right. Hm…” Lee Ji-Hye muttered.

“W-what…”

“You look good and pretty. I’m actually getting jealous,” Lee Ji-Hye told Jo Hye-Jin.

“Really?” Jo Hye-Jin asked.

“Why would I lie? I’m in the middle of work here, you know?” replied Lee Ji-Hye.

“But…”

“Now, let’s see. Oppa, we’re ready. Come and take a look,” Lee Ji-Hye called out to me.

“Okay.” I walked toward them while pushing away the pile of clothes, and I finally saw Jo Hye-Jin’s face after her makeup was done.

I couldn’t describe her at all. However, she was definitely beautiful.

She had light wavy hair and was wearing a blouse and a skirt.

It was a simple outfit, but my jaw dropped unknowingly while staring at her.

She didn’t look fancy at all, but her necklace matched her outfit very well. And her face—she had a pretty face, but the magic of makeup transformed her so much that I couldn’t actually say with confidence that she was the same pre-makeup Jo Hye-Jin.

Lee Ji-Hye nodded proudly next to her as if she was satisfied with the outcome.

Lee Ji-Hye looked like she had cleared an epic-ranked quest.

“How do I look?” Jo Hye-Jin asked.

“You’re beautiful…” I answered.

“If you’re saying that to make fun of me—”

“No, you really look beautiful. Have you looked into a mirror yet?” I asked, interrupting her.

“Not really…” she mumbled.

“Then go and take a look. You’ll see whether I’m making fun of you or not,” I told her.

I was sure that she would be the most surprised by her current look.

‘At last, you can go and see Hyun-Sung now.’
