Chapter 1958: The Final Battle - Maria VS Gabriel [1] |
-----
Gabriel’s eyes glared at Maria with deep intrigue and a faint trace of fear.
Even with the power of the Heavenly Father now coursing through him, what she had just done seemed utterly impossible. Camael, whom he had believed dead, had been revived on the spot and granted the mighty body of a Cosmic Herald.
He had heard everything and chosen to stand with Michael.
"So it seems you had to die before you could finally open your eyes, brother," Michael sighed. "Be thankful that Maria’s benevolence has given you a second chance."
"I will," Camael nodded. "Now...!"
He turned his blazing eyes, burning with divine wrath, toward Gabriel and the other four Archangels. At the same time, Maria expanded her powerful Cosmic Aura, a swirling galaxy enveloping her titanic form.
Her family, still manifesting their Domain Embodiments, began merging their dimensional bodies even further, amplifying their collective strength.
"Then, shall we begin?" Maria said. "Waiting is pointless. Let’s find out who is stronger and end this."
Gabriel and his four siblings fused their powers as one. A gigantic being, twice Maria’s size, materialized from their combined Celestial Auras, radiating the overwhelming might of a Cosmic Monarch.
The colossal entity, forged from pure white energy, resembled a heavily armored angel with twelve wings, six arms, three heads, and countless stars orbiting its body. It was no mere ethereal projection—the five Archangels had fully merged into the Aura, manifesting what could only be called a Cosmic Monarch Embodiment.
FLAAASH!
The giant surged with the power of the Heavenly Father, amplified even further by the combined strength of his five mightiest sons.
Reality itself began to warp.
The beautiful cosmic garden of Eden was violently drawn toward the titan, forming a massive cosmic vortex that threatened to devour Maria’s power as well.
"I see you have ascended to the realm of Cosmic Monarchs, Maria," Gabriel spoke, his voice causing the universe around him to tremble. "I had long hoped you would fall after my plan to make you unseal Yggdrasil—allowing Father to devour it—failed. Michael was only going to support your madness for a few years before returning to us, fully reformed."
He paused, his tone sharpening with disdain.
"However, I now see such efforts were pointless from the start. You have claimed the ninety worlds meant to fuel our ascension and turned them into something even beyond our great father. But no matter... you are a newborn star. We are ancient beings. It would be wiser not to resist and simply accept your defeat."
As he spoke, his words twisted and decayed reality. The stars began orbiting the titanic Cosmic Monarch Embodiment, and the five Archangels grew larger than a planet—until they became as vast as a star, far greater in size than Maria.
"Can you withstand the fury of five Archangels who have labored for millions of years to achieve our goals?!" Gabriel roared. "Not even our all-powerful father could see through our true intentions! What do you possibly hope to achieve?!"
Five golden masks materialized across the chest of the colossal angel, its body composed of swirling stars, planets, and nebulae. All six hands summoned six distinct weapons, each belonging to one of the Archangels. The masks’ eyes glowed with blinding divine light as they spoke words that bent reality itself.
One mask, resembling Uriel, declared:
"God is My Light."
FLAAASH!
An endless torrent of light erupted, tearing the universe apart and annihilating countless stars, planets, and nebulae—devouring half the galaxy in an instant.
Maria and her family vanished instantly within the overwhelming white light of creation.
"Haha, was that it?" Uriel’s voice laughed.
"It appears the newly born Cosmic Monarch didn’t anticipate that sneak attack. Well done, Uriel," Raphael said, sounding pleased as he scanned the devastated cosmos.
"Then, shall we recover the ninety worlds she devoured?" Jophiel asked curiously. "Or are they gone with her?"
"I believe they’re all gone," Zadkiel replied, already relaxed. "No matter. Aren’t there countless worlds here to devour? Let’s feast on planets and stars for now. Later, we can find a Worldline Thread and access the Root. There will be endless delectable worlds waiting for us."
These Archangels were finally surrendering to their deepest, darkest desires. After eons of restraint and control, they were free to indulge without limit.
"Hmm..."
Gabriel remained silent, staring into the eternal white void they had created. There was absolutely nothing left.
"Could they really be—"
"GYAAAAAAHHH!"
A deafening chorus of thousands of angels’ agonizing screams ripped through the white void.
The emptiness trembled violently. The Limbo shattered, and a gigantic cosmic hand emerged from behind the blinding whiteness.
"She survived?!" Gabriel gasped.
With the hand came the screams of millions—then billions—of void-born angels, their voices forged into a colossal sword capable of cleaving entire planets.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Raphael demanded. "She survived!"
"Impossible! The white void consumes all things!" Uriel cried, unable to comprehend the sight before him.
"Is she hiding beneath the white void?! How?!" Jophiel exclaimed.
"Trespassing through planes of reality? Yes, it’s not that difficult, you know?"
Maria’s eternal voice echoed across the cosmos, each word aligning like stars in the heavens. Her body tore through the white void, ripping reality apart as she emerged.
Her Void Chorus Blade overflowed with pink flames, fused with the Domain of Dreams embodied by her son, Liam. Using that power, she had split reality and escaped into the Plane of Dreams, a dimension entirely separate from this one. She could not remain there longer than a minute without risking being eroded and turned into a dream herself.
As she re-emerged, the Domains of her family merged into her Aura and then into her body, causing her to glow with countless shifting colors and vivid scenes.
"I hope you don’t try that again."
With those words, Maria swung her sword forward.
Gabriel and the Archangels instantly recreated powerful dimensional barriers around their colossal form—strong enough to withstand multiple stars exploding simultaneously.
And yet...
CLAAASH!
