Chapter 348-349 On How to Conquer System Fairies and Make Them Your Wives 348-349

Mount Yu. Master’s dwelling.

Bi Luo sat at a table in the main hall, her hand resting on a cushion as Nan Xiaoxiang checked her pulse, her gaze distant and unfocused. Nan Xiaoxiang’s brow was furrowed with concern. Chen Yin sat beside them, fidgeting nervously. Lian’er, Master, and Xiang’er were watching from behind a screen.

“…You’re remarkably tolerant of pain,” Nan Xiaoxiang finally said, her voice filled with a mixture of concern and exasperation, as she withdrew her hand, her gaze fixed on Bi Luo’s face. “Do you even know what state your body is in?”

“Do I need you to tell me?” Bi Luo snorted, her voice cold and dismissive. She withdrew her hand and said, her tone casual, “Are you satisfied now? Can I leave?”

Chen Yin looked at Nan Xiaoxiang, whose expression had darkened. “How is she?”

“…Her meridians and internal organs are ravaged by the poison. I don’t know how she endures the constant pain, but just maintaining her current state, using her cultivation base to prevent the poison from completely consuming her… it must be excruciating. It’s a miracle she’s still alive.”

“Is there… nothing we can do?” Chen Yin asked, his brow furrowed with worry.

“…It might be difficult…” Nan Xiaoxiang hesitated, her voice barely a whisper, “but there might be a—”

“There’s nothing!” Bi Luo suddenly interrupted her, her voice sharp and angry. “I know my own body!”

“But you know! You read the ‘Myriad Treasures Compendium’ too! You borrowed it from me! You know the method…” Her voice trailed off as Bi Luo glared at her, a dangerous glint in her eyes, as if daring her to continue.

The three onlookers behind the screen exchanged curious glances. “There’s a way?” Chen Yin asked. “Then why won’t she tell us?”

“I said, there’s no way!” Bi Luo shouted, then stood up abruptly and stormed out of the hall.

They watched her go, then turned to Nan Xiaoxiang, who bit her lip, her expression troubled. After a long silence, she sighed.

“What’s wrong?” Chen Yin asked softly.

“Her body… there’s no cure. The ‘Myriad Treasures Compendium’, a medical text from the Wu Xuan Cave, mentions a method to prolong life when the body is beyond repair. But… it’s a cruel method. It requires finding a compatible donor and transferring their meridians and internal organs to the recipient, using a secret Wu Xuan technique.”

Chen Yin’s eyes widened. “So… the donor would…”

“Yes,” Nan Xiaoxiang sighed, “they would die.”

Silence fell over the room.

“Even if we could find a compatible donor, the Grand Witch would never agree,” Nan Xiaoxiang said, her voice filled with a quiet despair.

“Is there… really no other way?”

“The ‘Compendium’ mentions a pill that can regenerate the body’s meridians and organs. And you’re familiar with the main ingredient: the Phantasmal Harmony Ganoderma. But… ironically… the Wu Xuan Cave’s knowledge of alchemy has been lost.”

“Lost?” Chen Yin frowned.

“The Wu Xuan Cave was once renowned for its alchemy, medicine, and Gu techniques. But the Wu Xuan Ancestor, obsessed with immortality, abandoned alchemy after failing to create an elixir of eternal life, focusing all his efforts on the Phantasmal Harmony Ganoderma. And he never shared his alchemical knowledge with anyone. So even if we have some of the Ganoderma’s leaves, we can’t refine the pill.”

They had the ingredients, but no one knew how to use them.

And Chen Yin knew nothing about alchemy.

“So… there’s no hope?”

Nan Xiaoxiang was silent, her gaze distant and unfocused.

The atmosphere in the room was heavy with despair.

“Don’t worry,” Master said, her voice calm and reassuring, “as long as she’s still alive, there’s still hope. Let’s bring her back and put her in my bath. It’s filled with healing herbs and elixirs. It might ease her pain. We’ll figure something out.”

She winked at Chen Yin, who hurried out of the room.

A few minutes later, a series of indignant cries and playful laughter echoed from the direction of the bathhouse.

“Chen Yin! If you spank me again, I’ll kill you!”

Nan Xiaoxiang: “…”

Master coughed awkwardly. “So… what kind of pill is this? Powerful enough to regenerate the entire body? Even the meridians and organs?”

As a cultivator, she knew how extraordinary such a pill would be.

Most cultivators, before ascending to immortality, still had mortal bodies. Even pills that could regenerate limbs were incredibly rare and valuable. A pill that could completely restore a damaged body… she had never heard of such a thing.

“According to the ‘Compendium’, it’s a pill created by the Wu Xuan Ancestor, called the Liantian Pill,” Nan Xiaoxiang said. “It’s said to be able to bring even the dead back to life.”

The Wu Xuan Ancestor, despite his cruelty, had been a brilliant alchemist, physician, and Gu master.

“But the ‘Compendium’ only describes its effects. I don’t even know if he ever actually created it.”

“Interesting…” Master nodded thoughtfully.

“Do you suspect something, Immortal Yu Ling?”

“I just find it strange that he would keep such a valuable technique a secret. And the Grand Witch’s reaction…” She trailed off, her eyes narrowed slightly, a thoughtful expression on her face.

In Master Yu Ling’s bathhouse, Bi Luo glared at Chen Yin, her arms crossed defensively over her chest.

“Well? Are you waiting for me to undress you?” Chen Yin said impatiently.

“What are you trying to do?”

“My wife’s orders. You’re staying here until we find a way to cure you.” He sat down beside the bath, a smug grin on his face.

An awkward silence filled the room.

“Are you going to undress, or not?”

Bi Luo glared at him, her eyes flashing with anger.

Chen Yin sighed and turned around. “Happy now?”

Seeing that he wasn’t going to back down, she hesitated, then slowly undressed and stepped into the bath, the warm water soothing her aching muscles.

As she sank into the water, a sigh of relief escaped her lips. The constant pain that had been tormenting her subsided slightly.

“Feeling better?” Chen Yin turned around, his voice laced with a gentle mockery, “See? You shouldn’t be so stubborn. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. There’s always a solution.”

Bi Luo glared at him. “Why are you bothering with this? I know my own body. I’m beyond saving. Even a god couldn’t cure me. I’ve accepted my fate, but she insists on meddling… I don’t know what she hopes to achieve.”

“Nan Xiaoxiang isn’t as complicated as you think,” Chen Yin said, a smile playing on his lips, remembering her stubborn determination, “she just wants to repay her debt to you.”

“Repay a debt?” Bi Luo scoffed. “I’ve never done anything for her.”

“Come on,” Chen Yin chuckled, “you’re not as heartless as you pretend to be. You might have thought you were just being… impulsive when you crippled her cultivation and expelled her from the Wu Xuan Cave, but you saved her life. And she just wants to return the favor.”

Bi Luo glared at him, but she didn’t say anything.

An awkward silence filled the room.

After a while, she said, her voice barely a whisper, “There’s something… I want to ask you.”

“What is it?”

“That day… when I was bathing with Nan Xiaoxiang… did you really… watch us?” She looked at him, her brow furrowed slightly, a hint of nervousness in her eyes.

“Why do you ask?” he said casually. “It’s not a big deal. It’s not like I haven’t seen a naked woman before.”

“It is a big deal! It’s a matter of a woman’s reputation! You can’t just dismiss it like that!”

“Then I’m sorry to disappoint you,” Chen Yin grinned mischievously. “Not only did I watch, but Master was with me too. And I have to say, Grand Witch, you have a very… impressive figure. I never would have guessed, with those baggy robes of yours.”

“Say another word, and I’ll kill you,” Bi Luo said, her voice a low growl.

Chen Yin shrugged, his playful banter ceasing. “I didn’t know you cared so much about your reputation.”

“It depends on who’s watching. I’m not letting a pervert like you see me naked for free.”

“Lian’er didn’t seem to mind,” Chen Yin said casually.

Bi Luo’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “What did you do to her?!”

“Hey, I’m not a monster. I wouldn’t do anything to a child like her,” Chen Yin said, his voice filled with mock indignation. “You asked me to teach her how to cultivate, remember? And guiding her through the process involves… physical contact. But I assure you, I didn’t do anything… inappropriate.”

Bi Luo continued to glare at him, her suspicion clear.

Chen Yin didn’t bother explaining. But he was puzzled by her reaction. She seemed overly sensitive whenever Lian’er was mentioned, as if she was hiding something.

“Is there something wrong with Lian’er, Grand Witch?”

Bi Luo didn’t answer, just turned away. “No. Now leave me alone. I want to take a bath. And since I can’t get out of the bath, be a dear and ask Lian’er to come and… attend to me.”

“I can also—” Chen Yin started to say, but she glared at him, and he quickly left.

A few minutes later, Lian’er entered shyly.

“You called, Grand Witch?”

“Pour me some tea,” Bi Luo said casually.

Lian’er nodded and poured her a cup of tea, her movements graceful and efficient.

Bi Luo took a sip, then closed her eyes, a sigh escaping her lips.

“…Grand Witch?” Lian’er asked softly, “are you feeling better?”

Bi Luo didn’t answer, her voice suddenly turning serious. “Stay with me these next few days. And stay away from Nan Xiaoxiang. Do you understand?”

“But… why…?” Lian’er blinked at her, confused.

“No reason.” Bi Luo hesitated, then gently stroked Lian’er’s hair. “Just… listen to me, okay?”

Lian’er, her head lowered, her eyes fixed on the floor, nodded obediently, like a kitten seeking affection.

Bi Luo looked at her for a moment, then smiled faintly.

“You’ve grown up so much, Lian’er.”

“You’re beautiful now. You’ll have no trouble finding a husband.”

Lian’er blushed. “Grand Witch, stop teasing me. I’m still young. I want to stay with you.”

“It’s a good thing to get married,” Bi Luo said softly. “If you find someone you like… even someone shameless like Chen Yin… as long as he’s kind and treats you well…”

Lian’er, puzzled by her sudden change in tone, asked, “Why are you suddenly so eager for me to get married?”

Bi Luo opened her mouth to answer, then hesitated, then closed it again.

“…It’s nothing,” she said, her voice barely a whisper, “just pour me another cup of tea.”
