Chapter 338-339 On How to Conquer System Fairies and Make Them Your Wives 338-339 |
In Master’s dwelling, Yu Ling was soaking in the bath, a contented sigh escaping her lips.
“Ah… that feels good. It’s been so long since I’ve bathed in my own bath. There’s no place like home.”
Chen Yin sat beside the bath, quietly brewing tea, the Changming Sword leaning against the wall nearby. Sword Maiden sat beside him, happily munching on a sword.
“So she’s the Immortal Venerable’s daughter,” Yu Ling said, turning over in the water, a playful glint in her eyes. “If you marry her, you’ll have to call him ‘Father-in-Law’.”
Chen Yin shuddered at the thought. “I don’t want to call that guy anything. But it’s a pity, such a cute girl, becoming a sword spirit…” He sighed.
“Why is it a pity?” Sword Maiden asked, tilting her head slightly.
“Because you’ll miss out on so many joys of life! Like bathing, eating delicious food, cuddling with your loved one…”
“Why are those things joyful?” Sword Maiden asked, her voice as calm and steady as ever. “Isn’t true joy having swords to eat and swordsmanship to learn every day?”
Yu Ling: “…Such a good girl, but her brain is… unique.”
“Seriously?” Yu Ling looked at him skeptically. “I think it’s important to have… feelings. Wouldn’t it be sad to have no one to love?”
Sword Maiden frowned, not understanding. Chen Yin put his arm around her and whispered, “Don’t worry about her. How about you? Are you happy to be back in your own bath?”
“Of course!” she stretched languidly. “I can’t live without my bath! And besides—”
She suddenly stopped.
Chen Yin looked at her, his gaze questioning.
After a long silence, she stuck her tongue out playfully.
“…Did you figure it out?”
“You can feel the passage of time. You lied to me, didn’t you? To make me feel less guilty?”
“It doesn’t matter,” she said, leaning against the edge of the bath, her eyes sparkling, “it’s only six months. It’s not that long.”
“…It is,” Chen Yin said quietly, then he stood up and lifted her out of the bath, her naked body, still wet and glistening, warm against his.
“H-hey!” she exclaimed, flustered, her cheeks flushing crimson. “What are you doing?!”
“Six months,” he said, his voice low and serious, his eyes searching hers, “alone in that frozen Void, with nothing but a sliver of hope to keep you going. Just the thought of it… breaks my heart.”
“It’s nothing,” she said, pinching his cheek playfully, no longer trying to hide her nakedness. “I waited for a thousand years, what’s another six months?”
“But what if I hadn’t found a way to repair the sword?”
“Then I would have waited longer,” she said casually.
Chen Yin’s lips pressed together tightly, and he pulled her close, his kiss fierce and demanding.
“Mmm…” she moaned softly, struggling in his embrace. When he finally released her, her cheeks were flushed, her eyes slightly unfocused. “Can’t you be… gentler?”
“Can’t you be… less reckless?”
Yu Ling fell silent, then she snuggled against him, her arms around his neck, her voice soft and gentle. “It’s really not a big deal. I didn’t want you to worry. If I had told you how much it hurt, you would have driven yourself mad trying to find a way to fix the sword. And I don’t want you to neglect Xiang’er and the others because of me. If they leave, who will keep me warm at night?”
“You don’t need them.”
“I’ll keep you warm.”
Yu Ling blushed and looked away, trying to change the subject. “Now that you’re back… how about we invite Xiang’er to join us tonight? I’ve always wanted to try a threesome! I want to see how she behaves in bed with you.”
Chen Yin didn’t reply, just looked at her.
“Or Luo Luo. I haven’t… petted a fox demon before. She looks so soft and fluffy.”
Still no response.
“Or Shen Shuanglian. She’s always so cold and aloof. I’m curious about what she’s like in bed. Or even Sword Maiden. The Immortal Venerable is gone, he won’t mind if you… claim his daughter.”
Her voice grew softer with each suggestion, and she finally lowered her head, fidgeting with her fingers.
Chen Yin chuckled and pulled her close. “…Why are you so nervous? It’s not our first time.”
“But… it was a thousand years ago…” she mumbled, her cheeks flushing, her eyes darting around nervously. “And we never… finished… because I was still in my child form…”
“Then let’s finish it now.”
He carried her towards the bedroom.
“Wait! I’m not dressed!”
“You’ll be taking them off anyway.”
“But I’m… I’m a bit… weak… call Xiang’er!”
“Another time,” Chen Yin said seriously, “tonight, it’s just you and me.”
He silenced her protests with a kiss, his lips pressing against hers, then he carried her into the bedroom and blew out the candle.
“Be… gentle…” she whispered in the darkness.
“Why are you so timid now?” he teased. “I seem to remember someone saying, ‘Whoever screams is a dog’, a thousand years ago.”
“I changed my mind! You’re a beast! You have no mercy!”
Chen Yin chuckled softly.
“Don’t worry.”
“I’ll be gentle this time.”
For the rest of my life, I’ll give you all my tenderness.
The next day, before dawn, while Master was still asleep, Chen Yin went to Mount Buqi alone.
At the foot of the mountain, the graves of the Yu Alliance members remained undisturbed, as if time had stood still. Someone had been taking care of them.
Chen Yin sat before the graves, two boxes beside him.
One contained Jiazi’s head. The other, his ashes.
He sat there in silence, the wind rustling through the trees, his gaze fixed on the tombstones.
After a while, a familiar voice came from behind him:
“…What are you thinking about?”
Chen Yin didn’t turn around, his voice barely a whisper. “Qingqing gave me a pendant once.”
He couldn’t even remember what it looked like,
But he remembered the look in her eyes, the mixture of sadness and resolve.
“Sometimes I wonder… what if they hadn’t been chosen? What if they hadn’t become… bait? Luo Xiaoxiao would have become a respected family leader, Hu Li a powerful cultivator, Hua Yulian a celebrated prodigy… and Qingqing…”
Master sat down beside him, her head resting on his shoulder, her gaze also fixed on the tombstones.
“…She would have found someone who loved her, someone who made her happy. She would have a family, and those youthful feelings… would just be a distant memory.”
Chen Yin closed his eyes, his voice filled with a quiet longing. “…I wish I could see that.”
Master snuggled closer, her warmth a comforting presence.
“This isn’t over,” Chen Yin said, his voice turning serious, “there are still Chosen Ones out there, waiting to be harvested. I have to find them.”
“You’re going to look for them all?” she blinked at him.
“Yes. I have to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”
…He wouldn’t let another Yu Alliance tragedy happen.
Master knew what he meant by “before I leave”. She didn’t say anything, just stretched languidly. “Good. We have plenty of time. We’ll find them all. And when we’re done,” she smiled, “I’ll go with you.”
Chen Yin ruffled her hair and held her close.
She closed her eyes, a contented sigh escaping her lips.
Time slowed down, the world around them fading away.
“There’s something… I haven’t done yet,” he said softly.
“Hmm?”
“I still owe you a proper wedding.”
“…Forget it. A Master marrying her disciple… it’s not very… traditional.”
“You care about what others think?” He chuckled.
“Not really,” she said, playing with his hair, “I’m just… too old for such things. And I’m already yours. I’m not going anywhere.”
She blushed slightly.
“Are you shy?” he teased, seeing her blush.
“Shy? I’m a thousand years old! You think I can be embarrassed by something like this?” She puffed out her chest, trying to look indignant, but Chen Yin just pinched her nose playfully until she squirmed and giggled.
“Don’t say you’re old.”
“I don’t care about weddings. Shouldn’t you be more concerned about Xiang’er and the others?” She grinned mischievously. “How about a big group wedding? It’ll save time, and we can all have… fun… together.”
“That’s not appropriate. They wouldn’t agree.”
“You’ll never know if you don’t try,” she said, patting his shoulder. “A man has to work hard to keep his women happy. My happiness depends on you now!”
Chen Yin: “…”
She’s worse than me when it comes to this kind of stuff.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
“How about we start with Xiang’er?” she grinned.
“…You’re setting me up, aren’t you?”
“Come here, I have an idea.”
She whispered in his ear.
Later that evening…
Xiang’er hummed a cheerful tune as she entered the bathhouse, a towel in her hand.
She undressed behind a screen, the steamy air swirling around her, then stepped towards the bath, her small, white feet barely touching the smooth stone floor.
A small head suddenly popped up from the water.
“Master? You’re taking a bath? Why didn’t you say anything?” Xiang’er asked, startled.
“What?” Master said, her head resting on the edge of the bath, her eyes sparkling mischievously. “Are you bothered by your Master? We’re both girls. Come on in.”
“N-no, you go first…” Xiang’er blushed and took a step back.
Master lunged forward, grabbing her and pulling her into the bath.
“Aaaaagh!”
Xiang’er shrieked, then blushed as Master held her close, her arms around her waist, her laughter echoing through the steam-filled room.
“Let me see how much you’ve grown,” she said, her hands moving up Xiang’er’s body, her touch sending shivers down her spine. “Mmm… so soft and smooth… such beautiful skin…”
“You’re not bad yourself, Master,” Xiang’er mumbled, her cheeks burning, no longer trying to hide her nakedness, “I always saw you as a little girl, because of your cultivation technique. I didn’t know you were so… well-endowed.”
“You’re prettier,” Master said, hugging her from behind, her soft breasts pressing against Xiang’er’s back.
“Master! Stop it…” Xiang’er giggled, squirming in her embrace.
“Little disciple, I have a proposition for you,” she whispered in Xiang’er’s ear, her voice filled with a playful mischief.
Xiang’er’s face turned crimson. “No way! With you and Senior Brother… that’s… too embarrassing!”
Master sighed dramatically. “It didn’t work… I should have known… violence is always the answer.”
“Fortunately, I have a backup plan. I added some aphrodisiacs to the bath.”
Xiang’er: “?”
