Chapter 336-337 On How to Conquer System Fairies and Make Them Your Wives 336-337

The ice encasing the golden-armored giant, Jiazi, began to crack, his halberd still pointed menacingly at Chen Yin and Yu Ling.

Jiazi’s first thought upon waking was confusion. He had attacked them, but he was still in the same position, as if frozen in time. He realized Yu Ling must have used her Dao of Time.

It doesn’t matter. I have the Qianlong Halberd. She can’t defeat me. She’ll exhaust herself eventually. He had his orders from the Dao Venerable. He couldn’t fail. The Dao Venerable’s words, “Don’t disappoint me,” echoed in his ears. He took a deep breath and prepared to attack again.

“Die!”

He charged forward, his halberd infused with a powerful, ancient energy, his main target Yu Ling, not Chen Yin, whose sword was broken.

He glared at them, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

You will all die here today!

All?

He saw a third figure beside Yu Ling, a young woman with tears in her eyes, clinging to her.

Who is that?

When did she arrive?

Why are they talking and laughing?

Xiang’er, her face buried in Yu Ling’s chest, sobbed, “Master! You’re finally awake!”

“There, there,” Yu Ling said softly, stroking her hair, “don’t cry. You underestimate me. No one can defeat me.”

Chen Yin smiled.

“Oh, you’re awake,” he said casually, glancing at Jiazi, “attacking us the moment you wake up? You’re a dedicated worker.”

Jiazi, confused, frowned. “Hmph, such tricks! I’ll kill you all!”

He swung his halberd, its power like a crashing mountain, and Xiang’er whimpered, burying her face deeper into Yu Ling’s chest. “Master, he’s scary…”

“Did you hear that?” Yu Ling said, a playful glint in her eyes. “Someone scared our little Xiang’er. What should we do, disciple?”

“Who dares bully our Junior Sister?” Chen Yin grinned and walked towards Jiazi, ignoring the incoming attack.

Before Jiazi could react, a blinding white light filled his vision.

He couldn’t see.

He couldn’t hear.

He couldn’t even think.

Then, he felt a searing pain, and he looked down, his eyes widening in horror.

His body, from his shoulder to his waist, had been cleanly sliced in two.

Immortal energy poured from the wound, and he stared at Chen Yin, who stood there calmly, a sword floating before him.

It was a beautiful, translucent jade sword, so delicate and elegant that it looked more like a decorative piece than a weapon.

But the mere sight of it made Jiazi’s heart pound in his chest, a familiar feeling of dread washing over him, a feeling he had only experienced once before, when the Dao Venerable had first given him the Qianlong Halberd.

It wasn’t just a weapon.

It was something… more.

“…How…?”

As he recognized the sword, his eyes widened in shock and disbelief, his earlier arrogance replaced by a primal fear. “Your sword?! But… it was destroyed! And… it’s not the same sword! You… you repaired a Dao Realm treasure?!”

Chen Yin just chuckled, his eyes cold and mocking. “What’s wrong? Lost your bark now that your master is gone?”

Jiazi’s face twitched, but he forced himself to calm down, his voice trembling slightly. “…Even with a Dao Realm treasure, you’re still no match for me! I have the Qianlong Halberd! You can’t use that attack again!”

He was trying to convince himself.

Don’t be afraid. He’s not a Dao Venerable. That attack was just the sword’s power, not his own. I’m the Solitary Dao Venerable’s strongest general! I have the Qianlong Halberd! I’m not afraid of him!

He raised his halberd, his aura surging, his eyes blazing with a desperate fury, his fanged mask even more terrifying now.

The halberd glowed with a dark, ominous light, the weight of the Void seeming to concentrate at its tip, its density increasing, its gravity warping the space around it.

Silence fell over the Void, as if even sound and light were being drawn into the halberd’s immense gravitational pull.

Chen Yin finally looked at him, his gaze steady.

“If you’re truly capable,” Jiazi said, his voice deep and resonant, “then use that attack again. If you can, I’ll admit defeat. But if you’re just a charlatan, relying on tricks and artifacts, then you won’t be able to block this attack.” He strained to hold the halberd, his arms trembling under its immense weight. “…Die.”

He lunged forward, his attack slow and deliberate, yet inescapable, its trajectory locked onto Chen Yin, a gravitational pull dragging him towards the inevitable.

But Chen Yin didn’t try to dodge.

“Two things,” he said calmly, his voice clear and steady, “first, that wasn’t ‘just now’. That was six months ago. And second, I can use that attack again. But,” he grinned, raising the Eternal Light Sword, “with the complete Changming Sword, I don’t even need the Third Sword to kill you.”

He casually flicked his wrist, and the sword, spinning through the air, stopped before him. A faint, translucent figure, a beautiful young woman with clear, bright eyes, materialized and grasped the hilt.

Sword Maiden.

Her movements mirrored his, her hand moving in perfect synchrony with his, the sword blazing with a brilliant light.

“I’ll only teach you this once,” Chen Yin said calmly. “I call it the Second Sword. Watch closely.”

Sword Maiden didn’t reply, her gaze fixed on the sword in her hand.

Chen Yin raised his hand, and her hand moved with his, their movements fluid and graceful, the sword’s aura intensifying.

“—Second Sword.”

The outcome was less dramatic than expected.

No earth-shattering explosions, no collapsing Void.

Just a single figure, kneeling on the ground, his body trembling, his halberd supporting his weight.

His lower body had been completely obliterated, his immortal energy, unable to regenerate his shattered form, absorbed by the Changming Sword.

Jiazi looked at Chen Yin, who stood there calmly, his sword at his side, his eyes cold and indifferent, and a wave of terror washed over him.

He’s a monster!

Chen Yin walked towards him slowly, his voice cold and hard.

“I have many debts to settle with you. Qingqing, Sister Hua, the Yu Alliance… Little Ling’er, forced to guard this passage for a thousand years… Ye Huang, the Luo family, Qing Mei Niang, the Demon Lord, the Grand Witch… and Master, trapped in that frozen Void for six months, all because of you.”

His voice grew colder with each name, Jiazi’s fear intensifying.

“How are you going to repay them?” He stopped before him, his sword raised.

Jiazi, forgetting his pride, his voice trembling, could only plead, “No… don’t kill me! Dao Venerable! Save me! I don’t want to die!”

The Qianlong Halberd trembled, and a powerful aura emanated from it.

Jiazi’s eyes lit up with hope. He’s not going to abandon me!

I’m not going to die!

Chen Yin frowned and glanced at the halberd. “You think he can save you today?”

Sword Maiden’s figure appeared beside him, her voice a low growl. “…Such a crude and clumsy weapon. You dare challenge me?”

The Changming Sword flew from Chen Yin’s hand, its blade humming softly, and Sword Maiden, grasping the hilt, slashed at the Qianlong Halberd, her voice filled with a cold fury.

“Get lost!”

The halberd’s aura dimmed, its power fading.

Jiazi’s hopeful expression froze.

“I told you,” Chen Yin said, stepping closer, his gaze cold and indifferent, like he was looking at an insect, “your head will be my trophy. It will hang beneath Mount Buqi, a warning to all who dare threaten the Yu Alliance. Today… no one can save you.”

Jiazi didn’t receive the divine intervention he had hoped for.

He died with a look of disbelief and resentment in his eyes, the Solitary Dao Venerable’s first general, his pride and confidence shattered by the events of this day.

As his body dissolved into nothingness, the Qianlong Halberd, sensing its master’s death, trembled slightly, then a surge of energy propelled it towards the gate to the Upper Realm.

Chen Yin, Jiazi’s head in his hand, didn’t even glance at it.

But a cold voice echoed through the Void.

“Leaving so soon?”

A flash of green light, and the halberd, inches from the gate, was pinned to the ground.

Sword Maiden stood there, her expression calm and indifferent, her gaze fixed on the struggling weapon. “Did I give you permission to leave? Such a crude and clumsy thing. You dare challenge me? Then stay.”

The halberd trembled violently, a silent roar of frustration echoing through the Void, but Sword Maiden simply placed her foot on it, her weight pinning it to the ground.

“Wow,” Master said, her eyes twinkling mischievously, “that’s a nice little sister you picked up. So pure and innocent… I bet she’s fun to play with. I love corrupting innocent little girls.” Her gaze turned predatory, and she licked her lips suggestively.

“…She’s a sword spirit, Master. You can’t… you shouldn’t…” Chen Yin said, slightly disturbed by her enthusiasm.

“What? There’s no law against… interacting… with a sword.”

“But it sounds… painful…”

As they bantered playfully, a faint sigh echoed from the other side of the gate, as if someone was watching them.

Chen Yin glanced at the gate, then looked away, his expression unreadable.

Sword Maiden picked up the Qianlong Halberd and tossed it at Chen Yin’s feet. “Such a weak and incomplete spirit. And you dare challenge me? What a waste. It’s not a sword, so I can’t eat it.” She held out her hand. “Here. Give me some swords.”

“As you wish.”

Chen Yin gave her a bag of swords, then picked up the halberd, examining it curiously. “A Dao Realm treasure… it looks impressive, but it’s not that special. It seems that Solitary Dao Venerable doesn’t give his subordinates very good equipment.”

But it was a trophy now.

He didn’t need it, but perhaps someone else could use it.

“Alright,” he said, his usual cheerful demeanor returning,

“Let’s go home.”

“Little Ling’er!”

As they emerged from the dimensional passage, Qing Mei Niang rushed towards Yu Ling, throwing her arms around her, tears streaming down her face.

“I missed you so much! I can’t live without you! That bad disciple of yours has been bullying me! He even wanted me to be your… bed warmer! It’s outrageous! He’s terrible! Let’s run away together! I know a place where no one will ever find us!”

Her eyes shone with a desperate longing.

Yu Ling chuckled awkwardly and glanced at Chen Yin, who said, his voice filled with mock indignation, “Hey! That’s not true! I never said that!”

“You didn’t say it, but you were thinking it!” Qing Mei Niang glared at him from Yu Ling’s embrace. “You men are all the same! Always dreaming about… unspeakable things!”

Wow, that’s a low blow, Senior. Even I wouldn’t say that.

Although it was a tempting thought, hearing it from Qing Mei Niang was strangely irritating, especially seeing her smug expression as she snuggled against Yu Ling, her tail swaying playfully.

“It doesn’t matter,” Chen Yin said casually, “Master and I have a lot of… catching up to do. We’ll be… busy tonight. You’re welcome to… listen… from outside.”

“Dream on! Little Ling’er would never sleep with you!”

“Oh, really? Want to hear a recording of her… moaning my name… tonight? I can play it on repeat in your room.”

“Chen Yin! You’re asking for it!” Qing Mei Niang’s fur bristled.

“Bring it on! I’ve been wanting to beat you up for a while now!”

As they were about to start fighting, Yu Ling and Luo Luo quickly separated them.

“Enough, you two. Give us a break. We just finished a battle,” Yu Ling said, stretching languidly.

“Let’s go back to Mount Yu. You must have a lot to tell me.”

Mount Yu.

“So that’s why the Eternal Light Sword was incomplete,” Yu Ling said, sipping her tea, her gaze fixed on Sword Maiden, who was sitting quietly, eating a sword. “It was missing its sword spirit. I can’t believe he used his own daughter…” She shook her head sadly.

“It’s a pity he didn’t have time to finish it. Perhaps he could have found another way,” Chen Yin said, his voice filled with regret.

None of them had gotten what they wanted.

Gu Changliu hadn’t won Mingluan’s heart.

Mingluan hadn’t waited for Mo Wuyou’s return.

Mo Wuyou hadn’t lived to see the completion of the Changming Sword.

And Little Yao hadn’t found the courage to confess her feelings, even after Mingluan’s death.

In the end, they had all gone their separate ways, their lives intertwined yet ultimately… separate.

“Life is unpredictable,” he sighed.

“Indeed,” Yu Ling said, her eyes twinkling mischievously, “if that girl still had a body, we could have a threesome tonight.”

Chen Yin: “?”
