Chapter 291-292 On How to Conquer System Fairies and Make Them Your Wives 291-292 |
In a dimly lit room, Qingying sat at a table, a single candle flickering beside her, sighing listlessly.
“System.”
“Yes?”
“How much longer do I have to stay locked up in here?”
“How would I know? I’m not the one keeping you prisoner.”
“I’m so bored… can’t you find something interesting in the System Shop to entertain me?”
“You used up all your points on cultivation techniques. I can’t exchange anything without points.”
“Can’t you be more useful?”
“Look who’s talking!”
“I’m so bored…” She slumped onto the table, her head resting on the cool surface.
“I bet you’re thinking about your man again,” the System teased.
Qingying blushed. “He’s not my man! Shut up! I… I can think about him if I want to! There’s nothing else to do!”
Her voice was filled with a mixture of longing and resentment.
“That bastard, he goes into seclusion for who knows how long and completely forgets about me. He probably won’t even remember me after the Triennial Day.”
“Who says I forgot about you?” a playful voice suddenly said.
Before Qingying could react, she felt a sharp smack on her backside and yelped.
Her face turned crimson.
“CHEN YIN! I’m going to kill you!”
“Whoa, whoa,” Chen Yin said, catching her as she lunged at him, a playful grin on his face. “You were just thinking about me, and now you want to kill me? Do you really have the heart to do it?”
“I…” Qingying stammered, her face still flushed. “You… you and that damn System! You were working together, weren’t you?! Tricking me!”
“What does that have to do with me?” the System said innocently. “Even if I was 99% responsible, isn’t there still a 1% chance that you’re just… gullible?”
Qingying glared at it, fuming, then punched Chen Yin’s shoulder half-heartedly.
“Why… why did you come see me?” she mumbled, her head lowered. “Is the Triennial Day over?”
“Can’t I visit you if it’s not?”
Chen Yin pinched her cheek playfully.
Qingying blushed but didn’t resist, just looked away.
“I thought you forgot about me.”
“I just came out of seclusion.”
He sat beside her and patted his lap invitingly.
Qingying hesitated, then he simply pulled her onto his lap, his chin resting on her shoulder, his hand slipping beneath her robes.
Her breath hitched, but she didn’t speak.
“Were you… bored and lonely these past few days?” he whispered in her ear, his voice sending shivers down her spine.
“It was alright…” she mumbled, turning her head slightly, “I’ve been through worse in the Secret Division.”
“Do you know why Master locked you up?”
“Something about… me being a Chosen One and being in danger during the Triennial Day…”
She frowned. “I don’t really know. She just told me to stay here and not show my face.”
Chen Yin chuckled.
“What’s so funny?”
“You’re the first person I’ve met who’s so honest about being… not very bright.”
Qingying squirmed slightly under his touch, her breathing becoming more erratic. “So what?! I am not very bright! In the Secret Division, we were trained to follow orders, not to ask questions. That kind of life… makes you stupid. Are you saying you don’t want me anymore because I’m stupid?” She glared at him playfully.
Chen Yin grinned. “I love stupid women. The stupider, the better.”
He couldn’t resist squeezing her breast gently. It was soft and round.
Qingying moaned softly, her face turning even redder, her eyes shimmering with a mixture of desire and embarrassment.
“Stop teasing me…”
“But it’s so addictive,” Chen Yin said, his voice husky.
“No!”
She squirmed again, and he whispered in her ear, “You better stop moving, or you’ll regret it.”
Qingying immediately froze.
Chen Yin kissed her forehead gently. “About your System…”
“The truth… might be more cruel than you think.”
Qingying looked at him, confused.
“Call out your System. I have some questions for it.”
“What is it?” the System’s voice echoed in her mind.
“Do you know why you were created?”
“Of course not. I’m just a tool. All I know is to complete the Plot Records.”
Chen Yin was silent for a moment.
“Are you alright? Why are you asking such strange questions?” the System asked, sounding slightly concerned.
Qingying also looked at him, her eyes questioning.
Chen Yin sighed and looked at her, his gaze filled with a gentle sadness.
“Ask it this,” he said softly.
“If its existence will lead to your death,”
“Will it… choose to disappear?”
It was a long and tragic story.
After Chen Yin finished, both Qingying and her System were silent.
“How could this be…?” Qingying whispered, her head lowered. “Are Systems just… tools of the Upper Realm?”
“I don’t know if they were created that way, or if they were somehow modified. But I’m certain that if it stays with you, you’ll be in danger.”
Qingying’s heart sank.
She had grown attached to her System. It was more than just a tool; it was like a friend, a companion.
The thought of it being there to harm her was unbearable.
“Are you… sad to see it go?”
“…Yes.”
“I understand,” Chen Yin said softly, pulling her into his arms, his hand gently stroking her hair. “I had a dog once. The day I had to say goodbye… it hurt more than I expected. But sometimes, goodbyes are inevitable.”
Qingying was still sad, but then she heard the System’s voice in her mind.
“…He’s right.”
“If my existence will harm you,”
“Then it’s better for me to leave.”
Qingying was surprised. “Do you… understand what you’re saying?”
“What?” the System chuckled. “Do you think I’m human? I don’t have any concept of… feelings. If I’m going to hurt my host, then I’ll leave. It’s simple. You should be grateful. You’re luckier than the others. Your Plot Record wasn’t dangerous or painful, that’s why you saw me as a friend. If your Plot Record required you to kill Chen Yin, would you still feel this way?”
Qingying was speechless.
“So don’t be so sentimental, human. We’re not the same.”
The System chuckled. “Tell your man what I said.”
Chen Yin, hearing its words, was silent for a moment.
“Actually, I have another option.”
“If I offer you a new home, will you come?”
The System paused.
Chen Yin took out his scroll and placed it before Qingying.
She stared at it, confused, while the System was silent.
“Do you know what this is?” Chen Yin asked.
“…No.”
“But,” the System suddenly chuckled, “do you know what I am?”
…I am a Heavenly Dao Fragment. Even if I’m just a fragment… I’m still a part of the Heavenly Dao.
“There aren’t many things that can contain the Heavenly Dao…”
“Very well.” Without hesitation, it entered the scroll.
Qingying called out to it mentally, but there was no response. She felt a sudden emptiness.
“It’s… gone?”
“Just moved to a new home,” Chen Yin said, kissing her forehead gently. “Perhaps you’ll see it again someday.”
If I can figure out what this scroll actually is.
Qingying nodded, then buried her face in his chest.
“Sad to see it go?”
“…Yes.”
“Want some comforting?”
“You know how to comfort people?” she asked, looking up at him.
“Of course. How do you think I won you over?” he said smugly.
“You’re so full of yourself.”
Qingying bit his finger playfully, leaving a faint mark.
“Let’s go.”
Chen Yin smiled. “Without the Heavenly Dao Fragment, you don’t have to stay here anymore.”
But as he stood up, Qingying tugged at his robe.
“Are you leaving… after we go outside?” she asked hesitantly.
“Probably.”
“Can you… wait a little longer?”
“Why?”
“I finally have you all to myself!” she said, her cheeks flushing slightly, her eyes narrowed playfully. “Can’t you spend some more time with me?”
Chen Yin chuckled, amused by her sudden shyness.
“Are you saying I’ve been neglecting you?”
“It’s not like I can’t live without you!” she said, her voice a playful mix of annoyance and affection. “But once we’re outside, it will be… their turn.”
“Their turn?”
“You… you have so many women… there won’t be any time for me…” she mumbled, her head lowered.
Chen Yin looked at her, amused by her bluntness.
He found her awkwardness and shyness endearing.
“Then how do you want me to… spend time with you?”
“You’re asking me?”
She pouted. “You’re the man! Shouldn’t you know?”
“But I want to hear you say it.”
“No!”
Chen Yin withdrew his hand from beneath her robes and stood up, pretending to leave.
“Wait! You…!”
Qingying’s eyes widened, and she grabbed his robe, her voice filled with a playful desperation.
“Are you even a man?! You touched me, you teased me, and now you’re just going to leave?!”
“But I want to hear you say it.” He looked at her intently.
Qingying, flustered by his gaze, lowered her head, then whispered,
“…Kiss me.”
“What?” Chen Yin cupped his hand to his ear. “I can’t hear you.”
“I said, kiss me! And then… take me!”
She suddenly yelled, her cheeks flushed, her eyes sparkling with a mixture of desire and defiance. “You just want to… have your way with me, don’t you?! Fine! Do it! I’m not a frigid nun! You’re not going anywhere tonight!”
She grabbed his collar and started to undress him, her boldness taking him by surprise.
“Whoa, Sister, calm down…”
“I don’t care!”
Her robes, already loosened by his earlier touch, slipped from her shoulders, revealing her smooth, fair skin. She glared at him, her eyes filled with a playful challenge.
“Come on! Let’s go to my room!”
“You’re not leaving until you make me scream!”
