The Most Generous Master Ever授徒万倍返还，为师从不藏私

I've read 18 chapters, and reading more would be an exercise in masochism.

This novel, objectively, isn't bad. Not in comparison to what else is out there. The TL is good, which is both amazing, and disappointing. The premise is even interesting.

It's basically garbage tho. Characters have no emotions- disciple exists to power up MC and suck his metaphorical dick dao all the time, antagonists exist to oppose him. Everything is really simple, from the world to the sect to cultivation. Nothing is thoroughly explained, the pace is akin to that of a fighter jet, and you just cannot care about anyone. Even the MC's personality isn't constant, and everyone else is almost exaggerated to the extreme in whatever role they represent.

I.e, the arrogant peak master, the doting disciple, etc. So far, it seems to be a generic face-slapping novel. The author makes people praise the MC for his cunning and intelligence for simple things, which makes it even more abundantly clear that everyone's had their IQs downgraded to make the MC seem start. The elders don't seem like elders at all. It's straight up just turn-your-brain-off rubbish.

Could be worse, though. He'll likely have a disciple harem, if you're into that. But with two new 'disciple training'-esque novels recently that are better than this ('I just Won't Play by the Book' and 'The Strongest Sect of all Times') this thing isn't worth getting into, and with better books in my mind this book's flaws are abundantly clear.

A solid 6/10, but that's just taking into account cultivation novels. If we're talking about every book I've ever read, this is a solid 4/10, and most of this thing's numbers come from that good TL.

I will say the premise has real value to it- a novel where the MC has a system where he's rewarded for generosity, even just to his disciples, would be really interesting, though on a much lesser scale to start with, ex. 0x to 10x multiplier on any returns. Could be pretty fun, like if heads to auctions to buy things, pawns it off to the closest person to him after, and then pulls out something even better out of nowhere.
