On a sunny afternoon, Kyle finally received the long-awaited acceptance letter to Hogwarts, the prestigious thousand-year-old wizarding school.

At Hogwarts, Kyle led a fulfilling life. Besides attending classes, he spent his free time cultivating magical vegetables, tending to enchanting flowers, or venturing into the dark, forgotten chambers of the castle to provide emotional support to a small creature abandoned for centuries.

Dumbledore: “Kyle is a courageous, kind, and sincere young wizard.”

Professor McGonagall: “The Headmaster is absolutely right. Kyle never breaks the school rules.”

Snape: “Ah, yes… indeed…”

Professor Quirrell had thought the same—until one day, he opened a trapdoor and stumbled into a room full of Chomping Cabbages. Collapse

Honestly, I still kinda don't get the power system in Harry Potter worlds

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a mastery + emotion based system at its core
Strongest wizards seem to be very old (mastery) and/or people with great emotional depth - protego for example has it as a base requirement to be cast - emotional depth in believe altering the final output of the spell

So the ones better at magic overall are the ones that fight more because it hones mastery and because of the danger, builds character

If there's mana exhaustion or other typical fantasy magic system aspects I don't know

If you're a wizard, you can do magic. Use a wand, say spells, and you have to learn. There's white magic and dark magic. Magic uses emotions, that's why children can't control magic because their emotions are still unstable.

Spoiler of the novel in one of the reviews at NU. Makes me concerned if this is for comedic effect or MC is just too arrogant.

If someone read this part - would love to know. General vibe of MC too if possible. (◔◡◔)

He does that unde the effect of a polyjuice potion(meaning he's disguised). Also voldemort is so petty that he decides to trach the mc about horcruxes after learningthat Dumbledore took away that knowledge from the library. This novel is basically a more lighthearted, funny type. The mc is kinda similar to the Weasley twins but do remember that he is an unreliable narrator that basically gaslights himself to justify his actions. peepo009

Need to know how much bootlicking others do to MC, if it is like what shown in Synopsis that it's not my cup of tea.

I’m at chapter 400. And there’s basically barely any bootlicking. The mc does his own things, sometimes he interacts with the golden trio but not really. He has his own story sometimes it overlaps with the stuff in the original work but not really. Anyways the novel is more of a comedic taking of HP it’s not meant to be taken too seriously. I would say it’s a pretty fun read. And it doesn’t have many of the Chinese cliche you usually see.
