Ke Yin has a problem. Well, several problems.

First, he's actually Kane from Earth.

Second, he's stuck in a cultivation world where people don't just split mountains with a sword strike, they build entire universes inside their souls (and no, it's not a meditation metaphor).

Third, he's got a system with a snarky spiritual assistant that lets him possess the recently deceased across dimensions.

And finally, the elders at the Azure Peak Sect are asking why his soul realm contains both demonic cultivation and holy arts? Must be a natural talent.

***

Expectations:

- MC's main cultivation method will be plant based and related to World Trees (chapter 24)

- Weak to Strong MC

- MC will eventually create his own lifeforms within his soul as well as beings that can cultivate

- Main world is the first world (Azure Peak Sect)

- MC will revisit worlds (extensive world building of multiple realms)

- Light LitRPG aspects

- Time loop elements

- No harem Collapse

While I enjoy some royal road novels, when it comes cultivation, they can never really write the essence of what we would a expect from an author from china. The Western Authors do much better with Litrpg and other game like stories.

When it comes to this story, It suffers the same you would expect from most Western Cultivation novels, the lack of what makes them special. You always hear people say the same thing, it gets better after 10, 20, or 100 chapters. I'll say this, the first 20 chapters are mediocre at best and it only slightly gets better, but not worth the read in my opinion.

I'd say if you want to read a cultivation story for the first, this is not it. I'd recommend some of the classics. If you are a veteran, just skip, or reread a classic.. Currently if you haven't already started, Beyond the Timescape is decent (not his best work).

This isn't exactly true. The first "esoteric" novels began to appear in the West. * Spider World *, *The Mind Parasites*, *Space Vampires*. In the 90s, the post-Soviet space caught up. *The Messiah Cleans the Disk*, *Forbidden Reality(Golovachev)*. Cultivation started gaining popularity only in the 2000s. So, this is more of a problem with the authors of *The Royal Road*. And again, there are different authors there.

The problem is the culture. Royal roads is so woke, if you even ask certain questions they will delete your post, and block you. The Authors there are thin skinned and extremely woke.

I am a reader. I simply read books. A novel is good if it is good. A novel is bad if it is bad. And wok, not wok. Chalker was wok when wok was not in fashion. And Chalker was read and is still read.

None of these Authors are woke, they existed in a time where all this crazy stuff didn't really exist. Their books are rather based, might actually be rejected because they're too based. I only know of Chalker, but he was not woke, not even close.

Pretty good novel. I am enjoying on Royal Road. I recommend it… but…

The first 20 or so chapters feel artificial, as the MC does not really have a proper reaction to his transmigration. The sect has not been fleshed out this early in the story. It feels like the MC is in shock and repressing a panic attack, but it never happens.

The quality increases drastically after the first transmigration happens. The world becomes more than a plot device after that.

Here's my comment after reading this -
    This novel is good
It's grasp on the power level of the cultivation world is good
It's just it becomes too complex after chapter 10 and some reader who had come for fun might not like it

Too much yap and the system spirit has no reason to exist, it's there just to increase dialogue or word count.

When there are other characters the system spirit is basically non existent, and when it's just the MC there's continuous unnecessary never ending yap.

Unnecessary use of technical words when it doesn't even belong there to never reference it again in the future.

Good concept, interesting world and power system.

I don't like talking systems so maybe I'm biased, idk.

Couldn’t really get into this. Decent idea, good grammar and technical writing skills, but fair few issues. First, the cheat feels a bit arbitrary, and we don’t really have any concrete comparisons on why the results of his chat are better.

Second, MC himself doesn’t seem like he has any real agency. Always following instructions from other people whilst constantly whining.

Third, maybe personal bias, but I really hate when MCs keep going on about being low-key and they just do the opposite without fully considering other options.

Fourth, speech is a bit weird with completely different people using similar terminology as if they have the same level of knowledge/background etc. For example some random village healer knows proper medical terminology.

Fifth, it feels like author is trying to be funny(?) with the asshole senior brother stuff and some other things, but it feels all a bit flat and trying too hard.

Sixth, this has been mentioned in Royalroad reviews as well but it seems like one of those novels when general challenges are geared so even MC with his cheats struggles with them. This makes little sense when when side characters are also expected to pass this somehow..

Seventh, don’t really like MC’s first friend dynamic. A super pushy merchant type with no real reason why MC isn’t even looking at his stuff. It feels like again it’s being played for laughs, but to fall flat instead.

Tbf, these aren't big issues, but just lots of little ones that made me drop it.

    1. Grammer is incredible, the deliverance of thoughts and emotions is smooth as butter with a wide vocabulary and big range of words. Not like the Junk-food Chinese novels that are popping up like ads.
    2. Amazing character development, all of the characters in this story has some substance in them with thoughts and emotions and character background.
    3. World building is crazy good, multiple in-depth power systems and multiple realms are being introduced as of the latest chapters (146).
4.Easily a 5 star novel, there are somethings which I find less appealing(mostly his A.I. cross-breed Inner world spirit)
Definitely give it a try. 100% recommended.

Low expectations from the get go because his synopsis has a 'what you can expect' section which only trash novels usually add.
