    Well well well, I don't know how to explain it so I'll keep it simple.
    This novel is both interesting and a waste of time, interesting because it differs from other Chinese cultivation novels and a waste of time because the author always adds some useless mini arc that serves nothing to the MC but slows it down in its power gain.
    The author always tries to justify the perversion of the MC for the demoness with the gu yin in his body, but this does not fool anyone, the MC is only a big masochist, sometimes he is intelligent but other times he is stupid and submissive like a dog when he could do things differently. Verdict, read this novel only when you wait for the best novel updates to pass the time if you have nothing to do during this holiday.

      Pretty sure the MC was already shown to be kinda lustful, the gu just made him only attractable to the Demoness.           I'll say this again. READ THE TITLE OF THE NOVEL. WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENS IN THE NOVEL?

          The Gu is obviously yeah a device for MC to end up with her, but then again, what is the title of the novel? lmao "Cultivating in Secret Beside a Demoness" the gu is obviously the only connection between them otherwise there'd be none connecting them and they'd probably go their own way.
          There's probably other better ways to connect them but this is better than most cliche plots like "have seggs and woman turns tsundere" shit

          As I said, he can't do shit to the demoness nor the gu. He's trying to breakthrough to gauge her strength and to not be threatened by her and anyways the demoness hasn't shown him any hostilitiy towards him so he doesn't need to escape tbh and she even helped him quite a lot of time. Even the Gu was adavantageous to him, as it helped him resist many women's temptation so he's in no rid to get of it either.

          The novel is obviously going in the direction of him gaining strength and being in an equal relationship with the demoness. The demoness herself is nurturing and protecting him

    A very slow burning story of a "hidden" cultivator. Don't expect the quality of top tier providence however.

    For me the main hook is seeing the MC slowly become more corrupted by the ways of his sect.

      For some reason, a couple of months ago Webnovel cracked down on piracy. If you look on websites like this, the admins are rejecting book suggestions that are on Webnovel. These ones that are on here seem to have been scanned by a bot or something because sometimes the paragraphs are missing or jumbled up

          The reason for slow updates is because all these pirate websites always copy from the same source (pandanovel). So maybe a novel is 100s of chapters in front on webnovel, all these websites will always be far behind if panda is slow releasing chapters.
          I did realise that this (ranobes) website does mess up sometimes, I normally read on panda when that happens. Sometimes its jumbled, sometimes its missing paragraphs. I think it's because of the way the chapters are being copied from the website, like an AI scanning the website because that site has an anti copying mechanism, it messes it up.

    This novel is mid af. Another idea to make a cultivation novel with a cheat, but unfortunately poorly written. The plot is not intresting at all and it's just a copy of every protagonist transmigrating into devil sect.

    We don't even know what exactly his cheat does. The cultivation levels were "explained". The author just wrote the first few with no further comments about what you do in them, like streghtening your body or something. I'm not expecting a full chaoter about it, but still, at least a few sentences, please.
