Lost interest at Chapter 86. The leveling doesn't feel good and the weapon crafting is ok, it feels like a novel that's missing its main story, really lackluster overall once the newness wears off

Currently at chap 84 and... basically lost motivation. As such, I have come here to ask for those that have brave further than myself.

Do this gets more interesting and/or exciting? I mean, the many craft mini-arcs followed by 3~5 chapters of the MC showing that his craft is amazing and well written but... it gets boring after being repeated so many times.

At least... at what chapter does he return to

Personally I've read this book till chap 75, and I think it's good but I'm slowly losing interest, I think it's because of the preferences I have which is medium - fast pace and loads of action or romance. So, either u enjoy it or find it interesting for a bit and then drop.

Was really surprised by the low star rating as that was why i initially avoided this...But after reading 'The Runesmith' which has a much higher rating that i found was good but boring due to the author focusing on adding a lot of details in the earlier chapters so i wanted another crafting related novel and this just fit the bill perfectly, goes to show maybe ratings are not everything sometimes.

Yeah, you should check comment way more than rating. You can have vastly different rating depending on the website for the same novel but in general the comment are similar. you could get a good idea of why people like or dislike the novel

Sorry for my bad english, I'm french.

Once again, an example that encourages us not to rely completely on the number of views and stars. Good crafting novels are rare, and I think this is one of the good ones. We have here the classic of the apocalypse with monsters, new races and a system appearing from nowhere. But the "classic" stops there. Because unlike many novels with several intelligent races where everyone beats each other because they are different, here the author has opted for a more peaceful approach. Rare are the racist races, which makes the relationship more complicated between the different peoples. Although the MC leaves his world at the beginning, these simply to seek knowledge in a world which experienced the same apocalypse much earlier. He will quickly return home with his newfound knowledge and skill to save as many people in his world as possible. The progression of the MC is interesting to follow, and the system is far from simple or absolute in this world. Rather endearing secondary characters, and seeing the MC build his own guild is pretty cool to read. Some enemies are rather interesting and formidable, and our MC far from being overpowered, giving us a lot of stress because death is one of the best futures that our MC and his friends can choose against certain antagonists. If you like crafting, guild building, adventure discovery, and an MC who experiments in his craft as a blacksmith, this novel is for you. A novel which is not rich in originality, but which is interesting to follow, better than many others in the same genre.

Note: There is a lot of tag missing for this work, it is confusing to know if the novel will please us or not.

I've read up to around chapter 250+ and I've gotta say, I absolutely agree. The characters here are rememberable, and story is well written, with a fairly fleshed out crafting system, even if it doesn't always go into details. The MC has a good level of self-awareness, and while he isn't an absolute pervert thankfully, he isn't dense nor an idiot to romance. His mentality and behavioral is reasonable and believable, showing him to understand how to strategize and think outside the box, such as using his own forge as a weapon. Gotta say, so far at least a decent 4/5

False advertising with bad storytelling. How is he a blacksmith in the Apocalypse when he leaves the Apocalypse not even 40 chapters into the novel? He never met any other survivors and never mentions anyone he might know. Its like he has no personality whatsoever.

Well, the title says "of the apocalypse" not " in the apocalypse". Just saying hahahah.
