      I probably wouldn't go as far as insulting the MC, but you're right.
      The emperor guy didn't do anything unreasonable.
      A girl lied, betrayed and tried to poison him, so he retaliated.
      MC is a witness to the crime, and we don't know how law treats the ranker guys. And it isn't impossible that the witch would send someone after him.

      Uncaring? Maybe. But not hateful yet.
      Tho as MC I also wouldn't be happy about the situation.

      What interests me is why the witch sent her. All we know is that her raids fail and his don't, so I'd guess it's to get rid of competition that swallows all the profit.

        I was going to say the same, I don’t know from my point of view she initiated that and got what she deserved, the flame emperor might be crazy but he had the right to kill her, if the mc tried to save the chick in any way I would’ve dropped it but I’m glad he’s too cowardly (or knows his place I guess) to do that, the mcs a lil annoying but I’m hoping his personality changes a bit after this
