    Surprisingly good.
    If you're into some mtl shits then maybe this is above you.
    But if you have tread enough on very genre, which I myself didn't, I believe I only know a few, because of the many novels here. Well, most novels here are trash.
    But this one is NOT.
    I'm currently stacking chapters of other novels and decided to test if this is a poison. And well it's not
    I'm redundant. But it's because I will emphasize my point.
    There are not good part in this novel but who can say there's a perfect story. ( Journey of my Fave Wang Wei , and and the supremacy of some Maxwell guy I believe is excluded in my point just so I could say that there's no perfect story)
    Back to the topic.
    This is a hidden gem.

    Seeing that even this novel also has only 3 stars, should I try to read every novel without trusting the ratings at all? I mean, this is one of the best novels being translated with super intriguing world building and mystery... No information, no character is useless! Author just doesn't forget his characters and move on. Also about harem and romance, don't worry, the mc doesn't think with his dick. Ming Yan also gets great character development. Don't know how many girls he will have at the end but right now there's 5 strong candidates with one confirmed.

      Ranobes may be alittle strict on the rating but you must understand these are rating from veteran readers, if something is decent but full of cliche and doesnt have anything outstanding then its not gonna fly here. I have seen novels i truly hate getting crazy high rating in other sites and only here i feel like it make sense. BUT its possible some good novels might get buried because early bad reviews but its not the norm, its usually the exception. If you are new to WN then rating here might not be to your standard, i recommend looking it up at novelupdates or og site.

      I don't know about rating, I think it's because individuals here have read so much that it's hard to have any form of objectivity with ratings.

      For me what I try to do is "add 1 star" based on decent published novels which I used to read a lot of. So if a published novel to me was completely readable and nothing else, then it's a 2.5/5 which makes sense since it's average. What I do here is add up to 1 star depending on multiple factors but I do add so a "mediocre" novel that is completely readable is 3.5.

      I have often found the ratings on this site to be barely better than if they were randomly generated. About the only trust I have in them is that if the rating is below a 3, then chances are the novel has earned it... usually.
