    Man, I'm just so annoyed. Mc was supposed to be going crazy and have cultivation problems because of huge yang imbalance. But suddenly mc just did braindead power up and somehow everything was solved? because he invested even more on yang. Which should make him even more crazy. It's just stupid how it was forgotten in heartbeat even though this was issue mc was dealing with just before.
    It's like force in new star wars, totally different power as what was established.

    Had to drop it becuase of bad translation but it is one of the hidden gems together with Mystical Journey.

    *sigh* I just don't understand why most good novels with potential get picked up by EndlessFantasy Translation and ruined because of the shitty translation.

    Don't believe the comments about the quality and all, the MC is dumb as f#ck, his friends are dumb as f#ck, his sister is dumb as f#ck, the title and the tags are misleading, you would think of a selfish, apahetic, realistic and cruel person from the story but nope, the whole thing is stupid, stupid government, stupid families, stupid MC, in a supposed society where a woman's most cherished feauture is regarded as it's purity(virginity), he is acting as if he is in a university campus on earth, leisurely living some crappy romance in an education institution of such times, he is attached to some idiotic friends in like 3 months time, i won't keep going on with how dumb everything in this novel is, figure out the rest from what i wrote about his character.

    This would have been so much more interesting and exciting had the MC continued down the path of purely being a mortal martial arts cultivator instead of integrating the power system of nobles with the excuse that one of their cultivation methods or paths somehow is "technically" a more complex form of martial arts. Although this did not take away from the overall quality and my enjoyment of the story (until around 330 or so), it became a major turn off for me personally. One of the most hype things about reading this was witnessing how the MC overcomes and closes the gap time and time again with opponents no mortal could even dream of opposing.

    I simply find it quite unfortunate that the author had to compromise this aspect of the story.

        It doesn’t get bad per say, but it does begin to feel quite rushed around 300 chapters in. I would still recommend it, but it lost the quality which kept me intrigued and willing to read on personally. This is why this isn’t a review but an off topic thing. It’s just my personal opinion and preference. Objectively speaking, this is still a great story and especially so when compared to the rest of what’s out there.

            Oh, my bad. He is not evil at all, but he is selfish and priorities his own interests and welfare over everyone else’s. At the same time, he is quite protective of his family and subordinates. He also knows to respect those who have taught him/raised him even if his current strength and status far surpasses them. I can go on, but I don’t wish to spoil his character or influence your perception of him if you choose to read the novel.

    One of the few novels along with mystical journey that is good even with a system. I usually hate cultivation novels with systems but these two novels do it the best, they are engaging, have great world building and plot buildup. Defenitly recommend it
