    This novel doesn't do anything new, but it does make the best out of old cliches. Read this if you wanna feel that nostalgia, when you first discovered chinese novels and an mc going around and face-slapping young masters left, right and center was considered the peak of fiction. This one is above average and is a lot less infuriating to read imo.

    It starts out as usual: trash young master, engagement, cripple, reincarnation, godly inheritance, blah blah blah... but then it actually becomes pretty interesting after a few hundred chapters, the power of the nation being an intriguing quirk to the power system. At least until he ascends to the immortal realm. Then it becomes pretty average.

    The biggest problem this novel has is the disgusting amount of racism, sexism and hypocrisy, which become more and more noticeable the further you read. Especially the sexism. But if you can bear with it and ignore it, this is a pretty enjoyable read, though not memorable. A nice way to pass the time.

    Edit: I've read some more and it becomes really interesting again later on, and the negative aspects become a lot less noticeable and frequent.

            Okay so I've read through it and... I can't really give you any concrete criticism apart from the fact that it seems a bit rushed. It's like you have a shit ton of ideas for what the plot will be and how to take it there, and you want to show all of it as fast as possible, so it kinda comes across like when someone super hyper starts trying to tell a story.

            But this isn't really criticism in the sense that everyone is like this when they start out, and the only way to fix it is to get more experience by writing more, so my only advice to you is this: Keep trying and you'll naturally get better and better, and also relax a little. Instead of trying to convey as much information per chapter as possible, try to just add some small descriptive phrases or even paragraphs instead. That way you can make it seem more natural as well as increase chapter length (which we all love).

            Now that isn't to say it's bad. I actually quite enjoyed what little there currently is, and it shows a lot of promise. As they say, "We'll be watching your career with great interest".

        I'd say the first 1000 chapters are interesting, chapters 1000-1500 are kinda boring but still necessary to understand what's going on, and then it gets interesting again.

    A slightly above-average novel. Nothing too different from other cultivation novels. But yeah recommended if you have free time.

    There is also occasional humor which is good. I laughed really hard in some parts. Xiao Gu is especially a colorful character.

    Shit novel. The mc died and now can’t seem to get over his past time. He literally meets random stranger and starts helping them for no fcking reason whatsoever. The guy has lived for thousands of years but acts so immature , but the author simply justifies that it is because he is he is reincarnated in the body of a child. Simply fcking irritating. The mc after helping them gets such a big head. Like one of the guys he saved formed a saber qi and the mc is like because of me I helped created a saber king . Like what the fck he didn’t even do anything. Later some guys guide him to a cave, which he already might know after all it was his purpose of visit. But then he is like because they helped me show the location He feels like rewarding them big and gives away half of the things that he came to get. He is always going on and on about how he likes to repay kindness, but at the end of the day he just doesn’t stop being annoying as hell. Fcking trash mc always looks down at everyone and only gets saved due to plot armour. The author might also be fcking idiot for giving it such a misleading title. Only first few chapters and he decides he would only do alchemy as a secondary.

    The MC is a reincarnated cultivator as well and cuz of that he keeps talking about his past experiences over and over and over again in the 1st hundreds of chapters which is quite annoying as well.

    And I almost forgot but

    Another thing that is EXTREMELY stupid and breaks my immersion is the numbers. When the MC gets to the immortal Realm numbers stop being relevant to a point that it's stupid. Example: most immortals take MILLIONS, not thousands, of years or more to improve their cultivation. You've got people over 1 billion years old.
    And the MC in 50 years is stronger than someone who cultivated for 10 million years. It's simply utter nonsense and it breaks my immersion whenever it is mentioned. No matter how op and talented one and they're cultivation are it doesn't make sense.

    Downgraded to a 1 cuz it's awful but still better than war sovereign.

        Ok, so what? What i said still stands, u just gave me the reason behind it. Just like in other boring and nonsensical chinese cultivation novels, the story gets boring fast and I start skipping unimportant chapters/ start skimming through the chapters. It's normal to miss certain things whilst doing so.

      I get what your saying but it really only kicks into effect 500+chapters in, a strong guy will say he wants to fk the women around the mc but the mc literally won't care and usually ignores them. While the tactic of not giving them the time of day may be good it just feels weird that the mc lets someone say something like that and not do anything, especially with the way the author describes the random cultivators pov and thoughts is so vividly descriptive it feels like the mc is being cucked
