After living an utterly ordinary life for over a decade, one night Ji Minghuan suddenly awakened a strange superpower—the ability to create game characters in the real world.

Each character came with their own main storyline and a unique skill tree system.

From that moment on, he was unstoppable. He kept creating new characters, developing their skill trees, and nurturing their systems… As long as a character’s popularity increased, their powers would grow stronger.

So he started stirring up trouble like crazy, doing whatever it took to grab attention. He acted like a total sh*t-stirrer, bouncing back and forth between superheroes and supervillains alike.

By the time he snapped out of it, Ji Minghuan was already sitting on the moon, staring down at the battered, bruised blue planet.

A bunch of maxed-out characters stood silently behind him.

With an innocent look on his face, he couldn’t help but mutter, “I swear I didn’t mean to destroy the world!” Collapse

The main character is 12 no? A twelve year old raised in an orphanage that abused children by putting them into the attic for days and day by day lived by reading, watching anime, and playing games? Who was then kidnapped and told he would destroy the world???

He’s not really an edgelord though? If you mean
then barely but even then I feel like Black Cocoon moves that edge lord title way back without even including
or his main body which are all very lighthearted characters who deal with very mentally disturbed or heavy topics with this story the tags alone should say this and I finishing this story should say the main character is not an edgelord in any observable way

It's a good book; I've basically read about 300 to 400 chapters, so I have priority in saying it's definitely above average, a solid Rank B, although it doesn't have the potential to improve significantly. It's definitely worth reading.

This novel’s world feels like a mix of My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Toaru, superpowers, systems, chaos, but still grounded. The world-building is strong and consistent even past chapter 200. Reading it reminded me of LOTM, not at that level, but solid. Characters feel natural, their goals and thoughts unfold slowly without info-dumps, and the MC’s morally grey personality makes the story engaging.

The pacing is slow but it works, letting the world breathe. Action scenes are fine, but the focus is clearly on the characters and their relationships. MC's is a bit complex, emotional yet distant, reckless, selfish, shaped by being only 12 years old and forced to grow up fast. Over time, his bonds with others slowly change him, which is one of the best parts of the story.

Every character feels alive with their own motives. Villains and organizations aren’t just “evil for the sake of evil,” they have real goals, and even the worst ones leave some impact. Characters like the MC, Kong Youling, Ayase Origami, and Gu Xiyu are standouts, with the MC and Origami’s dynamic being the best so far.

The power system also works really well. Espers are like quirks, Exorcists like Cursed Techniques/Tools, and Anecdote Envoys feel like Yu-Gi-Oh! summoners. It sounds messy, but the author makes it all click. Each ability actually reflects the character’s personality, which makes everything feel intentional and meaningful.

It’s not perfect, and maybe not a masterpiece yet, but it’s definitely special. The mix of story, characters, world-building, and careful pacing makes it a strong, engaging read worth following.
