    Review at the time of chapter 100.
    As for me, it is a very good book, somewhere around 4.1/5. Yes, there is little new or unique here, but the main advantage of this book is that everything is quite logical, and there are not most of the shortcomings of Chinese books.
    Pros:
    1. No constant tournaments.
    2. Neutral main character (not a villain, but kills people without problems).
    3. Pets (this was clear from the title, but pets and relationships with them are given a significant part of the time).
    4. There are no constant battles, so far there has not been such a thing that after defeating one enemy, a new one immediately appears, after him another one and so on.
    5. Secondary characters, this is not something really wow, but better than the usual Chinese ones, at the moment I can easily remember all the characters.
    6. There is comedy, there is not much of it here, but when it appears, it is quite appropriate.
    7. Most Chinese books have something super annoying or illogical, because of which I usually stop reading, here at the moment there was no such thing, and I hope it will not appear in the future.
    8. The absence of young masters, slaps in the face, humiliation by everyone you meet. In general, the characters here are not arrogant, which again is very rare in such books. There are a few more pluses, but I have already written too much.

    Minuses: they are here of course, but at the moment there is nothing special because of which I would like to stop reading. Some may not like: slow pace, lack of romance, neutral main character,

    I’m caught up (around 200 chapters) and I’d say it’s a fast food type of novel. In my humble opinion it’s not too bad but not that good. Most characters are shallow in my opinion but they’re not too shallow. It’s just that I came here hoping to read a pure beast taming novel with sect building as a side but he just keeps dipping his hands into side jobs like alchemy, mechanics (like guns for lower level cultivators), illusions, etc. I don’t mind if he dips his hands into one of them but it’s too much of a mix now that it’s not wrong to say he’s a mix match of everything instead of a beast tamer who can do alchemy, etc. Maybe it’ll change as he gets stronger. But that’s taking a long time too, as he has a physique that allows him to live a much longer life but he cultivates really slow because of it; it’s not a spoiler since it’s showed in the first chapter. And even though he has a long living physique, it doesn’t seem he needs to use it
    as he’s still able to overpower everyone in his own generation so I doubt he’ll be forced to outlive his own generation before becoming strong. I guess my expectations were just really high from the first chapter after seeing he will be able to live a long life+beast taming+sect building, 2 of which are my favorite genres. Maybe I’m being too harsh with my criticism because of that?
