    It's not on here but on royal road, herald of the stars is good. It's currently got 185 chapters but it's on the slower side for plot and regular updates around 2 a week but it's realy well written.

    I'm trying to rember a scifi space opera story.

    The mc is human and he owns a spaceship that is being used as a vacation for aliens.

    There giants that use portals to attack
    Evil insects
    Sentient trees that donate a tree for the ship
    Shorter aliens with weird hair that are obsessed with technology

    One chapter describes that the ship has basically slip'n'slides to get around
    The ship also has a school for children.

    I'm pretty sure the mc has a super cool mech as well

    Obviously adjusted setting so it’s technically original work instead of fanfiction - personally I approve. I quite like Warhammer fanfiction, especially the good ones, and I don’t really trust a translated story to get details correct. So instead of getting annoyed by inconsistencies I can enjoy

        I found few decent enough warhammer themed novel:

        "What? You say His Majesty is a war criminal". It's not 40k fanfic but just some apocalypse fiction with 40k theme.

        "Warhammer: Opening is a Crisis of Doom". 40k fanfic.

        "Star Survival: The Rise of the Fourth Scourge" its a bit generic type novel. Basically everyone went to space and get power from space systems such as Eve, Gundam, starcraft, etc. And MC got warhammer type.

        "Warhammer Wizard", basically just like typical wizard story but mc focus developing ultramarine.
