By this point, Lin Feng has been heavily suppressed and lost all of his luck, but the system orders a task for him to "die" by his hand so he can ascend. The MC regrets his decision to choose to ascend and then the Finale is a 100 year timeskip when his friends and love interests have reached the peak of their cultivation and can ascend. And then that's it?? Ending was disappointing but I had a bunch of laughs throughout the novel and it was better than I thought it was going to be. Also the ghost fox Jiu Shuang and the ghost woman Su E got completely forgotten about... there was clearly going to be a development for them, but then nothing happened.
