Betrayed by his former gang and thrown into the Rendhold Underprison, Dantes has spent the last five years scraping by.

A whoreson of orcish, human, and elvish blood, he's lived on the periphery of the periphery, lying, cheating, and stealing to survive. After a run of bad luck, he's made a powerful enemy. Luckily, he's also gotten all the tools he needs to turn things around.

A slow burn progression fantasy focused on rising through the criminal underworld of a city-state using newfound powers and quick wits.

***

MC's powers will develop slowly, but he will use them in creative ways to get ahead, and in the meantime he's not above just braining someone with a club.

Anti-hero MC with a code.

1500+ words per chapter

Current schedule Tues-Thurs-Sat

This is my first third-person novel length work, may be some accidental perspective switching, feel free to point it out. Collapse

lmao tf do you mean "Harry Potter magic"? The only thing close to magic that we've seen is the MC's ability and even that isn't really magic. And how does there being different races make any difference in how good this is?

As it was said, the head of the collars was a powerful magician who turned a man into a chicken. I have not heard that anyone would destroy mountains with a wave of his hand, even the druids here are very weak compared to our hero. In my opinion, the magic of turning someone by force is more powerful than pure destruction, that's what Harry Potter magic means when there is no logic of force. I don't mind the diversity of races, when there is originality, dwarves, elves, orcs, I'm already sick of it. If the author can't bring something of his own, then it's better not to start writing, it's not for him

Heck till now I dont think author show any magic outside druid magic and some enchanted items.

Is it just me who doesn't like Scribblehub, Webnovel and RR? I feel like Webnovel has an absurd amount of bad novels, readers who keep giving 5 stars to absolutely any shitty novel doesn't help either. Nothing against newbie authors, but I'm not going to force myself to read a novel with a protagonist I can't stand and a horrible story. And my impression is that 99% of the stories there are like that.

I personally only use these sites to read fanfics.

yes, on rr and webnovel the authors and admins delete negative reviews. in the webnovel it's mainly the authors, there are many bots commenting.

I already realized that Webnovel had a problem with bots commenting literally the same nonsense thing for 200 chapters, but deleting negative reviews and criticism is shocking, I can't even finish the first chapter of 5-star novels with millions of views on that site, I think that Wattpad writers have more prestige than that.

Any fanfic is better than most webnovels because they have passion put into it IMO

Although it's questionable where the focus of the passion is. Is it segs or plot? That's the hard thing about fanfics. But i agree, thoss sites are good for fanfics. And it's hard to trust any novel there now.

Oh, btw, do you guys have any good recommendations for fanfics of high school dxd, Naruto, classroom of the elites, chat group, multiple verses travel, or any other good fanfics. I want them to focus on plot and action more. But if possible, atleast there should be romance(1x1) of harem at best. Although if the story is good, I don't mind Harem and romance not being there.

Sorry, I don't know any fanfics from those fandoms since I don't watch their respective shows/animes.

I really only have one favorite that may satisfy your requests, but, but not of your requested series.

cyanide narwhal by TrashcanWithSprinkles. It's a genshin fanfic. It's very, very long, (word count was like 10k+ in the later chapters on average.) mostly focusing on plot and slightly romance, with around 12(?) Of the 62 chapters focusing on action/fights. I thought it was pretty good, but everyone has their own preferences.

              On AO3, btw

Personally SH is better for me although RR does have a larger library, most good books end up getting stubbed which doesn't happen much in SH since most of the authors don't really pursue it for a career. Webnovel is still the worst though.

I have discovered hidden gems on Scribble Hub. I don't read much fanfictions nowadays since the majority of them are either harem or have evil protagonists, which I don't like. When it comes to fanfictions, I'm very picky, so luckily I was able to find some fanfictions on Scribble Hub which suit my taste.

Sure, here are some fanfictions on my reading list:

Crows x souls (Naruto x Bleach crossover)
Reborn in a daimyo's court (Naruto fanfic)
Technomancer in the MCU (Marvel fanfic)
Don't let Tobi out (Naruto fanfic. This is not on my reading list, but it's worth checking out)
          White knight (Batman fanfic)
Marvel-ous ninjutsu (I think this one is mainstream)
Fate/Hunter and his doll (Fate series x Bloodborne fanfic)
Accidental liberator (GoT/ASOIAF fanfic. I'm still testing the waters with this one)
Reborn as Enel (One Piece fanfic. I think most people know this one.)
Daily drama (In American TV shows)

Fanfictions that I read on FF.net:

Thy Good Neighbor (Bloodborne x ASOIAF fanfic)
Soldier adrift: Captain Westeros (MCU x ASOIAF fanfic)

I was going to drop my reading list of the best stories I have found so far on SH, but since you don't like harem and evil mc, I think you'll like:

Reborn in Bleach as a hollow with a system,
Marvel: Breezing Through History as an Eternal,
        One piece : Celestial Rose,
A Space Whale in the MonsterVerse (AU),
        Fairy Tail: Shinigami;

I must say that I'm not at the lastest chapter of some of this stories since I didn't read in SH for quite a while. There's also some stories that might not be trash and I never tried reading like:

        One Piece: The Desert Princess,
Reincarnated As Young King of Meteor City(Meruem-HxH),
        Age of Charon,
        The Walking Dead: Warlord,

Anyway, I realized that I never gave a chance to read dozens of novels and I think I'm going to read them again on Scribblehub, I didn't send famous novels like those written by the author 'VeganMaster' because you certainly already know, unfortunately I love novels with the evil protagonist and harem, so there are many good stories that I couldn't recommend to you. crybaby

Out of these three, I prefer SH over the other two. I use RR mainly for Pokemon fanfics (yes) and for a bit of a more "serious" writing style. SH i use as my go-to for non-oriental novels. Webnovel.....it's...mmmm...yeah, no.

The fanfics I'm currently reading are

Borne of Caution (A really great fanfic. I'm sure you've already read this though)
Borne of Desire (Same author as BoC, but this one is more light-hearted)
Twisted Garden (A darker and more realistic Pokemon AU fanfic with some xianxia elements)
          I Will Touch The Skies
Pokemon Trainer Vicky (A Pokemon Self Insert)

Most of the fanfics i read are the popular ones and there's a good chance that you know, or have even read most of these. I apologise in advance if I wasn't of help.
