        'The first lady has a stroke' makes you think she nearly died but 'the other one can't reach' turns the implication of nearly dying into jacking off the flasher instead.

        Stroke can refer to a deadly medical condition but also to use your hand to caress something.

        A flasher is someone who reveals their genitals in a public place to someone or multiple people without prompting.

          Are you stupid? You seriously assumed someone else's life view from an unrelated comment. Besides, panic sets a novel to be 3 stars from the start to prevent a situation of extremity. He creates a baseline for the the viewers, that being us, for the rating of the novels. If it's 3 stars+ it's agreed by the majority to be a "good" novel while if it's 3 stars- it's a "bad" novel agreed by the majority.

Now on the main topic, do you not comprehend that the same structure of rating is not fit for every form of ratable object?

              That is factually incorrect, there is no such thing as a 'Michelin-starred chefs'. Only restaurants can recieve Michelin stars, not chefs. Next time, please try to fact check yourself and not spread misinformation.

                Anyway, I think he was doing that to handle the corner case of a novel with one 5-star review topping the charts.
                This can be handled by excluding novels with less than a certain number of reviews from some or all rankings but would open another can of worms to deal with.
                The fast and dirty method is to add a review to each novel with an initial rating.
                Also note that this rating isn't 3-star for all novels, as I've seen some novels with an initial 3.5 or 4-star ratings, most likely uses the base rating from the official site of the novel or some other sites like novelupdates to determine the initial rating.
