It's not bad, and I was enjoying the read up to ch 100 where the shitty Chinese nationalism started to dominate the story arc, hence me dropping the novel.

I noticed this from other novels too in here, but words, phrases, and sentences enclosed by symbols < and > are, most of the time, removed. It's specially very evident for this novel since the system notifications are enclosed by the said symbols.

Until this is fixed, I'd be reading this in the original translator's site. Thank you!

story wise the first one, killing wise the second, and comedy for the last.

Read the first 39 chapters, and I'd say it has potential!

MC is a Willow Tree with an 'Evolution' system that he can use for himself and others, in a modern world that is currently undergoing 'Spirit Essence Awakening'. It has an almost kingdom-y vibe to it, with the protagonist 'taming' other animals and using them as his subordinates as he claims the mountains he's rooted in.

Not too slow or fast; it's not very funny but doesn't try to be either, the MC is average and so is the world-building thus far, but junk food is junk food, and this isn't particularly offensive in any way, to the point it's a pretty decent snack to feast on during a boring afternoon.

I'd say it's a bit like Lays Yoghurt and Herb, though someone left the packet opened so some of the chips are a tad stale.

Reduced points for some weirdly racist overtones at times about human xenophobia, but other than that, nothing particularly offensive. Bit of a spoiler though for something that might bother people;

Overall, it's alright. By-the-books mid-tier xianxia, with an average protagonist (fitting perfectly into the Gary Stu mold of the genre of ruthlessness) and an average world, with above-decent writing to tie it all together in a neat knot.

Don't know why it's tagged 'Cowardly Protagonist'; 'Cautious' is a better word to use here, in a similar vein as Han Jue.

TL is the same as Martial Peak, so it's unlikely to drop despite the fact it has over 3000 chapters. (as long as it gets enough interest)

Overall, give it a shot if you're bored. Jesus Hamster detects lingering horniness within, but nothing that needs warning beforehand.
