    Neave was horrible at fighting, but it wasn’t like he didn’t know how to fight. He knew the theory. Even if one ignored that he grew up in a martial arts sect, he had read many texts that covered the basics of hand-to-hand combat, even in texts that weren’t related to fighting.

    But some stubborn part of him refused to borrow from that pool of wisdom, so he charged at the demon, trying to figure everything out entirely on his own.


    MC literally spend quadrillilon years on time loop without cultivating or growing in anyway. I just cant deal with this kind of idiotic logic. He might get OP before he leave now that he started after quadrillilon years but i just cant deal with the fact that he wasted so much time in blind stubborness and idiocy. This is just not for me.

    Also, author keep saying mc is super intelligent genius repeatedly but i've seen no evidence of it. Just because you repeat the same thing a thousand time doesnt make it real.

      Even later in the novel MC is still dumb in social interactions and his decisions work because he is OP. With that being said, MC is at the moment a 13 year old child who has spend a million years just fighting without any human interaction, just him and the devils.
      So by establishing him as a battle genius, the author is saying 'look the MC is intelligent, a genius' but he is NOT SMART. He simply views human interactions as zero sum game - kill or be killed. It isn't until he


      So do I as a reader like it? NO. But I can try to understand that it might be comforting to rely on the thought process that has worked for him. And that Technique mastery doesn't translate into smarts. But I am reading this hoping that it will turn around..

      Also if you try and read ahead - the dance challenge and its description is a seriously good piece of writing.
