Unable to satisfy its directive to obtain perfection, the most powerful machine lifeform in the galaxy finds itself at the end of its life cycle. When the sun consumes it, that should have been the end.

In another world, an unusual sword appears in the Seven Killing Swords sect and the battle over it causes such a calamity that it sets two entities on an inevitable, destined collision course. One of them is Lan Xiaohui, a disciple of the sect is betrayed by the man she is engaged to and left for dead in the sect's ancient and deadly hunting grounds with a broken cultivation. The other is the sword that is the source of great calamities due to its aura that compels all intelligent creatures to own it — an awakened treasure that possesses memories of its past incarnation as an autonomous weapon platform.

With another chance at life — one of them now a cursed, demonic sword, and the other an exiled cultivator seeking revenge — will they be able to reach the pinnacle this time and become immortal?

What to expect:

- Mature, semi-realistic storytelling with no repeating arcs.
- Fast cultivation with increasing LitRPG elements as the story progresses.
- An MC that is more tactical and strategic than outright just powerful.

What not to expect:

- MC that becomes human.
- AI that acts and talks like a GPS.
- Rampant smut or romance. Collapse

Seems this batch of novels is one of the weakest we've seen recently. Has anyone found any of them to be particularly good or interesting?

I read it in the original site(SH), it's pretty good. I'm also the one that recomend this novel.
Although it's not for everyone, it's got a decent pace and character building. One of the few time that actually did something worth while introducing a FML. Also about the demonic path not being a murdering and rapist bimbo. As far i understand demonic path is something that represents Chaos and going against the laws of nature. Considering the later chapters show the sword going against havens will i don't see the problem here.
    Anyways enjoy you novel folks.

See the thing is even in the good path the protagonists in all novels dealing with cultivation are fighting against heaven. The demonic path just means you don't care how you get there as long as you follow your desires.

Honestly, this is a very weak novel.
To begin with, the author has an extremely low understanding of the sword cultivators and the Dao of the sword in general, because of this, there are many stupid or illogical places for the cultivation world.
In addition, I don’t like the “sword” itself at all, it’s one thing if it has an AI with its own soul and will, another thing is that the sword itself is a mixture of cultivation and technology, and it’s done poorly, the feeling that it’s some kind of then a nano sword that has too many functions is my personal opinion, but if you are already doing a cultivation world, then be closer to it than to a futuristic world.
The second minus is purely my opinion, I didn’t like it, you can come in, someone already has some tastes, but the first minus is a minus of the plot as a whole, since the author makes the world of cultivation and makes the base around the sword, and its cultivation, then do it more correctly, closer to the Chinese novel about the cultivation of the sword.
I forgot to add, the author's understanding of the demonic sword, or the demonic path, is also kind of broken, at least for me. He is trying to combine into one whole, the demonic path with righteousness. I didn’t even like the idea of this at all, not to mention how the author implemented it.

Yup. I perceived something similar. The author is using words that they clearly do not fully understand. They do not even understand what Dao means but they toss it around as if it were water. Many terms seems to be misinterpreted and I could not get myself to read past chapter 22. It was just that dull. It's like he's constantly trying to justify the actions the supposedly AI takes. And if if what you're saying it right, the author clearly doesn't understand that there is no right or wrong upon the Demonic path. Only power.

Lol while I don’t doubt you are correct, it’s hilarious to see someone critiqued on their understanding of the Dao of the sword and the demonic path. Both of them are fictional aspects of fictional novels rofl.

That is a shit take. It being fictional doesn't mean it should not be understood, and if a so called author is writing about that fiction without understanding it, then you'll get this kind of shit pile

I just finished reading what was uploaded up to ch90. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was well written.

The characterization for the sword was great if you look at it from the viewpoint that, prior to reincarnating, it was a thousands of years old weaponized artificial intelligence. I loved how it compared weapons, driven by cold logical AI in a futuristic setting, to evil demonic ones in a backwards cultivation civilization. It gives a refreshing feeling to read a cultivation novel seen from the atypical perspective of something that was never human, or dirtied by mortal dust.

There is still a lot of mystery and character development concerning the sword that will probably come out; with the way the author used prompts from it’s past as goads to define its current choices. The only downside to this is that its past is deliberately vague. Even the circumstances of its reincarnation and awakening haven’t been revealed. All you have is a system, and an inexplicable knowledge of cultivation that apparently came out of nowhere; even though the sword only recently regained awareness.

As for the girl, you see development and you can infer a lot from the objective comments and narrative of the sword. But you don’t know what she is actually thinking, or how events really impact her, because everything is written in the swords’ first person view.

Overall I will be looking forward to reading more when it’s uploaded.

i really like reincarnated as a sword, somehow i did not enjoy reading of this sword.
Its might be the fault of widespread stupidity and violence present in cultivation worlds, or maybe the different sword and wielder chemistry, butmost likely its my fault for expecting a copy paste of a novel i liked.

But if you never before touched a reborn as object novel, this is a good entry point to try something different

There are a lot of novels in this update. But there is nothing interesting. An untranslated novel has been added here. Also a lot of garbage. I'm sad and I'm going to have tea.
