    Novel is alright. Chapters are long, descriptions are long, pacing is slow.

    It follows a relatively standard xianxia route. No young masters or filler antagonists so far, thankfully.

    At first, you'll get baited by the promise of actual math usage when problem solving, but it quickly turns into your usual trope following story.

    Ah, yes, f#ck the tournament arcs, this is the same cookie cutter, mind numbing, cringy plot introduction, strategy, combat, and dialogue.

    The MC is supposed to be an adult in the body of a child, but doesn't feel much mature compared to other 10 yo cultivators. But at least his Goal is not to defy the heavens, or get revenge or some crap.

    Although the story is quite decent, the writing style is pretty subpar. Every thought is "spoken out loud" in the mind which feels awkward. Just read the first chapter and you'll understand what I mean. Sometimes it feels like it's just there to pad the word count or to force an explanation of why a decision was made by the character.

    Like, instead of:
    James was suddenly caught off guard.


    It's like :
    James was suddenly caught off guard. 'What a weird question to ask a stranger. Then again, he gives the feeling as though he is a lifelong friend, and it's not as if I care about what others think about me anymore.'

      This is a big flaw - though you could consider it a pet peeve - that I've noticed in a lot of webnovels. The writers/translators don't seem to understand the concept of "not spelling out every single detail of the situation." Sometimes it's good to practice moderation (or just get an editor), a lot of things can be implied in text.

      Of course I don't really have any expectations for webnovel quality anyways since nobody expects high class writing from them in the first place. :P

    the novel is quite good. the world background is quite thought out and explained clearly. the tropes are also broken quite a few times. the mc is actually intelligent and grows as a person rather than the author just saying that the mc is intelligent. overall definitely recommended.
