Jay was merely a butcher, living in a small village on the outskirts of a magical world. When humans came of age, they would receive their class from a mana conduit, and begin their lives as adventurers.

“Status” Thought Jay, checking his class.

“...I'm a Necromancer?!” he was shocked. Looking around in fear, he was glad no one heard him.

In this world, this was a monster class - and one of the more powerful monsters at that.

Jay knew he would be hunted down and killed on sight - he was not just a threat to the authority of the nobles, but to all living things.

Jay now had only one option - to get stronger; building his necrotic powers up so that he may one day become untouchable. Through plotting, secrecy, and sometimes by sheer carnage, he can only attempt to survive in this hostile world.

    Don't read this POS novel. The author breaks his own rules from the very first chapter. And pretty much every other rule he sets almost as soon as he sets them.

    So in MNC to get a class, you have to touch "The Mcguffin" on a certain day of the year you turn a certain age. No real reason given other then it's the law as opposed to well it won't give you a class on any other day.The MC doesn't and while I didn't get that far, it's like the very aspect of the Mcguffin gets completely and utterly forgotten or hand waved away for the sake of a contrived young master face slapping session.

    Now I can forgive a lot in a translated Light Novel. Had the author have the MC bewildered, searching for answers or just anything other than PRETENDING THE SOLE CONDITION TO GET A SYSTEM THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN IS TOTALLY FINE AND GIVES THE MC ONE ANYWAY. I could have continued reading past chapter 20. Hell even a solid 1 out of 10 attempt to explain it or at least pretend there was a reason that would be explained within the fullness of time would have kept me interested.

    Sadly no

    Then there's the whole, ohh the adventure society is closed (location of mcguffin) the following day or two after the class giving ceremony cause they are too busy doing paper work. Except for the fact that the MC now wants to go there, so conveniently nope not closed any more the place is open, he just waltzes in with a wink and a nod and no one tells him to f#ck off.

    After that bullshit I still tried to push on but the whole Swoosh, clang bash nonsense that is action scenes in chinese novels is like no just no I'm done.

      Not to offend you and to all readers out there please always know the differences between a lite/light novel and a webnovel.

      Lightnovels had a physical copy or in a specific way it's a physical book with printed or handwritten chapters.

      Webnovels are the novels you read online and they are called virtual book, e-book etc.

      I'm pretty sure it's implied that because he didn't touch "the Mcguffin", he got a monster class. But you wouldn't know that because you came here to complain instead.

      Also he waits before going to the guild, then is immediate found out by the guild master.

      Funnily enough if you actually keep reading it’s hinted at and explained you just got upset and stopped reading though. It’s a really good book
