he needs luck points to gain rare and good rewards from the system, to gain luck points he needs to kill monsters. There are many rifts where the monsters come in from and there’s a battlefield outside of each rift. There are clearly many monsters for him to kill but because his other identity of a powerhouse is the president of the supernatural association, he deems it beneath his status to steal monsters from the soldiers(even though they clearly need help as countless people are dying), also I forgot to mention that he gets rewards from these treasure boxes in the system. The use of luck points is his golden finger(cheat) that only he has. There are different tiers to treasure boxes like gold, platinum, diamond(I forgot what the earlier tiers were) and to tier up he only needs to open a certain amount of boxes. To open the boxes he needs system coins which he can get by topping up using real life money or other currency like crystals, and he can earn them by killing and selling monster body parts. But of course, he doesn’t do any of this and doesn’t tier up his treasure boxes unless he has to because his current treasure box can’t give him any more new things that are helpful to him. He also clearly knows that there are many more powerful people holding down the fort for humanity but even they are getting suppressed and won’t be able to hold on for long, yet he still doesn’t strive to do his best and the to become as strong as he can as soon as possible, this is what I mean by calling him lazy and unmotivated and stupid. If humanity facing extinction can’t even make you do your best then what can? All in all, it’s not that the system is too OP, but the author doesn’t know how to scale his own story, for the sake of writing more chapters and milking as much as he can from this earth arc, he nerfs the MC when he should’ve been at a much higher realm than he is currently at.
