    ik this isnt abt this novel but i dunno where else to pose but I forgot about one apocalypse novel, do any of y'all know it?

    It started when the MC was in a convenience store while travelling, then a ringing sound made them faint, then when they woke up, there was purple mist and zombies? I believe he got ppl out of that mist and went to help firefighter triplets? The second season(?) is where the system showed up.

    This story must have a stupid hero tag. Having time to prepare the mc, it is not clear what doing. Instead of planning for life after the apocalypse, he deals with killing goblins. Yes, personal strength is important, but a place where you can calmly eat and sleep is more important, especially when lastly you can utilize the resources of society.

      Well it has become a thing now..... That's y new plots are rare and important...
      The system followed by isekai
      Apocalypse with zombies
      Sign in system - mc hiding from the world
      Etc etc.
      All these are the common plots nowadays.
      Keep searching for rare and new plots mate.

            yep, anti hero protagonist also is becoming quite common.. but i do like this though, it's better than those selfless heroes who would value someone else's life over himself even though he's like a king of an entire nation.. :\

            Also, these kind of character at least have good subordinates, that actually help mc and not just freeload off him.. sigh

              Exactly, I don't like these nosy selfless heroes much. Like ofc you have to help others but the mc shouldn't barge into another's problem.
              The only reason I couldn't read cultivation online anymore is because of this.
              Mc is excessively selfless and naive. It's like author is purposely down playing him.

                  The Oracle Paths fits your description pretty good if you never tried it already. It's apocalypse with a system(kinda), best world building I ever read. To me it's comparable to Supremacy games. I recently tried The Harvester on webnovel, not too bad. There are good novels, but its like trying to dig through shit to find gold, and there is too much shit and too little gold tbh
