«Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only Light can do that» the Goddess Amaltheia said as she held William in her loving embrace.

«Hate cannot drive out hate, only Love can do that.»

In order to help his little brothers and sisters at the orphanage, and save the person he loves, William decided to make the ultimate sacrifice.

This selfless act caught the eyes of the Gods which allowed William to have an opportunity to enter the Cycle of Reincarnation with their blessings. Together with his Mama Ella, and a herd of goats, William embarks on a new journey to find the meaning of happiness in his new life.

In a world of Swords and Magic, where adventures roam wild and free, a new legend is about to begin!

The author doesn't explain things, mc is unlikable, plot doesn't move, system is irrelevant (even though the title of the novel boasts about it), and let's not forget about how he goes around exposing his secrets for no reason.
The first chapters of the novel (before reincarnating) lures you into reading more, telling you "See all these amazing ideas? the potential? come and keep reading, you wont regret it!" but then he reincarnates and the only thing you receive is a tight slap in the face, pass.

Ok so i didn't make it past chapter 8, i suspect its because i went in with high expectations. This novel just isn't for me, there's no logic.

why would a god who has only one follower and is at risk of non-existence spend the recruitment period following some random guy around instead of doing his best to attract followers. Why would a Goddess who has many followers be so fixated on one guy who not only rejected her but chose to follow a different God just to avoid her (wouldn't she take offence? I mean she has so many followers!) There doesn't even seem to be a difference in status amongst the gods, shouldn't weaker gods be more respective towards their stronger peers? or is this not a world ruled by strength? i wouldn't even expect the stronger gods to attend such an event in person (considering how often it probably takes place) only the weakest/most desperate gods should be there in person.

The main character picks a god to follow just to avoid another even though the rules state that the gods are not allowed to force people. He doesn't even ask what perks other gods are offering, you would expect him to be walking around interviewing gods considering how important such a decision could be.

People complains thing like "downplays slavery and torture" or "some sort of sweet stuff with feminine guys" n "mc calling a goat 'mama'" are stupid. Slavery and torture being downplayed? As far as I know other more famous novels has this more brutal stuff with them and people pay no attention to it since mc revenge and ruthlessness is satisfying. More than that, the guys they are talking about are actually girls turned into boys by a tomboy god, they just don't read enough but still complain even without understanding the contents. About the weird stuff mc calls a goat "mama" there's actually more to it, and if you look at it open-mindedly you can tell that his relationships with goats are sincere (afterall his main job class is SHEPHERD bijjtches). More than that, I found it funny that people in this site are all complain even when the author BASICALLY found it out here stayed polite without reporting the group, while in the WN main app the reviews are mostly good stuffs. Anyway it's good guys, even though it isn't much of a best, author's writing style is interesting and world building is awesome mostly about how he did the gods and system.

How about you name those novels, instead of spewing trash. I've read hundreds of novels or even thousand. But the way the slavery is handled here is the most pathetic I've seen in my life. The novel is not worth reading because it is a pile of shit

So... the main thing that's ya know really bugging me is william becoming a nerfed slave amd all that. It don't hate that like I think its great for plot pushing a leaves a great room for character development, but likeee its not realistic, it didnt convince me enough that the charactera moved accordingly rationally. And my problem with this is that it then feels forced right? then like I can't not hate Celine and more than hate Celine I can't not hate Celine while getting annoyed at author for making Celine dumb af.

It's for training lmao. Also, all her wasted ingredients are rank SS that the Kingdom's fund isn't even enough to repay her. It's actually pretty nice that he's given only four years of slavery without mistreatments. Read more chapters before jumping on conclusion, the Author added the slave collar thing to activate some sort of prestige class of dark mages during a time of need.

I guess that last part would hold if I didnt read the novel, but lmao I have read all the chapters present on ranobes rn.
Ok so....ummm no it still makes no sense to put a slave collar even if he wasted all that stuff why?
because you would want to get back equal value and the slave collar is just a negative for both sides lmao.

Yeh, this novel was a great disappointment. Especially the Temple Arc. MC had a set back of 60 chapters just because of his stupid and kind hearted action. He lost his magical powers because his kind hearted nature. I don’t like the thought of mc being enslaved.

i dropped it after 130-140 chapters its okay but i dont think its worth reading theres a bunch of weird stuff in it examples would be him(the mc) calling a goat his second mother(theres more to this) and the weird interactions with other guys which do seem kinda gay so that might make some people uncomfortable then there are things that dont make sense like
      idk though maybe im mistaken

I get why. It's because this novel downplays torture and slavery. Apparently it's ok to enslave people as long as it's to repay a debt, and it's ok to torture people as long as it's to increase their resistances.

Agree. This is why I dropped this novel. sigh

What's next? is it ok to rape as long as it increases resistance to STD's? Is it ok to kill their family as long as it leads to them becoming stronger?

Also, the mc is a cardboard good guy. No matter what happens to him, he is never angry or upset which is weird af.

If STDs could be cast on me by a malicious party from a distance I might consider letting myself be raped. Thankfully we don't live in such a world. Also as soon as you are willing it stops being rape so kind of a paradox there.

Well for one in the series the offender is an attractive member of the opposite sex so your comparison isn’t quite valid. However depending on how great the risk of getting attacked by the magical std curse and exactly which STD we’re talking about yes. If given the option between a slow and painful path to an inevitable death and a horrible way to avoid it I would choose the horrible way to avoid it.

The key point here is that you'd agree to it. "I would choose" is something you'd do and others won't.
The mc didn't get a choice, he went to her place and she put a collar on him. If she said "Hey, I'm going to enslave you for X Y Z are you ok with that?" and he said yes than no one would have an issue with that.

She didn't ask. She did it without consent. Thats what is most F*ked up about the situation...

Just from a quick reading of the comments, some people can't figure out that this is just a fantasy novel and the ideal of slavery in a fantasy novel triggers them. It is ok to mass kill people of course, but their line is drawn at slavery. Sooo, If a novel ever turns someone off because the main character has slaves, or even discusses slavery, I wouldn't take their opinions seriously at all if they aren't able to differentiate real life and a light novel.

Yeah, I mean, at least one person that I saw commenting that he was put off by what happened, reads only stories that have harem in them, where in almost everyone of them, one of the love interest is introduced in the story with the rape trope, which is kind of contradictive with their own beliefs. After seeing that, I stopped paying any attention to the rest of them. It's an enjoyable story that got reviewed bombed by people that don't really put much tought in what's actually happening. Hell, even my review here got a lot of dislikes and I only asked a honest question, I didn't really make any affirmation that could be taken wrong in any way or offend anyone lmao.
