Most readers will probably want to throw stones at me and downvote my comment given Lilith's popularity, but please read the comment to the end and write your opinion if you end up disagreeing.

Doesn't it seem to anyone else that this love between mc and Lilith is unnatural and forced.
1) The protagonist is presented from the very beginning as a person who does not trust women due to past experiences. But then, after 3 months (actually 2, given the absence of Lilith), he fell in love with a woman about whom he actually knows nothing
2) Their relationship initially started as a collaboration. She helps him become strong and in return he does her service. Why doesn't mc, who initially doesn't trust women, even consider the possibility that she does this so that he has additional motivation, as well as a guarantee that her request will be fulfilled. It can also be a contingency plan for the death of the protagonist's family (meaning he will fight and live for her).
3) Yes, she wanted to move to the fourth order for him. But initially it was clear that he would refuse because of self-esteem. Again, why does he believe her. The protagonist is not a reader of this novel and cannot know that she is telling the truth.
4) Why did he love her at all. Most will answer that she supported and helped him from the very beginning. But then again, she did all this because in the future she would need his help.
5) He started to trust her 100 percent in the North Camp. Why????? Let's look objectively. She is a hundred years old, he knows nothing about her and she has plans for him that she does not want to talk about. How can there be absolute trust here?


I don't hate Lilith and I like her character, but their relationship is totally unnatural. It's more like the author wanted to cram in a romantic line and took the most popular character.
In this story, the beginning of such a relationship would be natural for mc and Shangguan (no, I'm not her simp, I really think that this is a more appropriate outcome)
1) He helped her grow as a person while talking in the forest
2) She has repeatedly shown that she cares about him and covers up simply because he is dear to her as a close person, and not as a faction leader who will be able to reward her in the future

I have read all 712 chapters so far and I can say that it really hurts me to see what a novel has turned into, which had great potential in the beginning.
I started reading this novel when it was about 100 chapters (university arc) and was really impressed.
1) Fair system (Soul Record)
2) a gray protagonist who does not seek to save everyone in a row, but is also not devoid of humanity
3) Quite a good pace of the story
The university arc is likely to remain the best arc of this novel.

But then the story began to turn into what we see now.
1) Crazy amount of fillers. The author in 14 chapters (that is, a week of real time) describes how mc makes equipment, although the information that these chapters give can be accommodated in two. If we remove all the unnecessary information that fillers give us, the novel would be at least 2 times shorter.
2) Description of the beauty of women. It really deserves to be singled out as a separate item. It is not enough for the author to describe a woman once, and then recall her appearance after several dozen chapters. There is a description of some woman in almost every chapter. However, sometimes it takes up half the text. An author can FOUR or FIVE PARAGRAPHS describe the LAUGHTER of a woman, after as many paragraphs have described her beauty. In addition to laughing, he can also endlessly describe their walk, eating manners, smiles, and so on.
3) The same type of antagonists. Literally in every arc, the antagonist will be a male pervert who does not put girls in anything. At the same time, he will be incredibly arrogant and, of course, underestimate mc.
4) Situations like "I got lucky" (aka plot armor) that can be explained logically

God, it would be better to just make him a talented blacksmith who has been doing this almost since childhood than this.
Same with the 3 second order 2 beasts, I would have much more respect for mc if he deliberately lured those beasts into one place, forcing them to fight each other.
5) The character of the protagonist in the last chapters. At the beginning of the novel, mc was a cold, intelligent, rational person who could come up with a plan in a difficult situation and was able to do what was necessary. Gradually, mc became more open to some people, began to joke more often and communicate informally, but in general remained the same rational and cold-blooded at the right time. In my opinion, the mc in the middle of the novel was perfectly balanced. But after 600 chapters, this has changed. Mc began to succumb to emotions more often and do illogical things. I was especially angered that he wanted to let a person who had acquired immunity from the virus die, because he believed that it was morally wrong to decide for another person to live or die. Seriously?? You have a chance to save thousands of people, but you are ready to just lose it.
Yes, this is wrong, but it is necessary, and mc in the beginning-middle of the novel understood this.
However, in the last chapters, things got even worse. Mc becomes more and more like a harem hero and behaves like a complete idiot.



At the moment, the novel can be rated 5-6/10. Although at the beginning he fully deserved a 9. It's a shame that the author does not listen to the readers and could not realize the potential of this novel.
