The writing isn't that great. The conversations and internal dialog are long winded, the story pacing is almost frantic.

There are some interesting ideas, but then others seem completely inane. The story lacks subtlety.

The conversations are extremely stilted, possibly an artifact of the translation and original language, but it really makes the characters suffer.

The characters themselves feel like they are from a GI Joe film, with much worse writing.

Trying to read the first chapter is like attempting to drag your nutsack through 100 miles of glass, burning coals and lego bricks. I've never, ever seen such messy writing. Even machine translation knows how to use paragraphs. I could write a better story using a shotgun and rolls of toilet paper, and God knows how I'd do it but it would still be more readable than this.

The first chapter is full of more cliches than a cultivation novel.

Bad parents? Check.

Annoying sisters? Check.

Smart, overpowered MC in progress? Check.

Terrible use of foreshadowing? Check.

I mean, how bad can it possibly be, you may ask? Well...



Also, this is one of the paragraphs in the first chapter. If I wasn't a decent enough human, I would've left the spoiler tag out just so you'd all steer clear and save your lifespans because attempting to read this paragraph may result in several things such as diarrhea, hemorrhaging of the brain, spleen, heart and lungs, and immense pain in the pre-frontal cortex. However, I've left it in for you, to save you.
