79 chapters read. I still had no idea how exactly their powers work, or are based on. I had no idea of the world building at all. No idea what gaining a bit of 1% mutation was for, or the effects. The chapters were confusing to read, as if the words made sense, but the story has no flow.

Additionally to this bad news, apparently every student likes to engage in bullying the weak. Every bad guy or opponent is also a would be or actual rapist. In the middle of fights, even.

The author is doing a bad job. You don't need the characters all to be absolute trash. You need to build your setting and immerse the reader.

As for the "plot" apparently people awaken with something akin to a ghost like the destiny fps game. They gain levels, stats, skills. there is some kind of otherland, that they hunt in, but it only got a couple sentences of explanation. The MC is a bullied orphan with a sick younger sister. Apparently he can use black magic, not explained how it works, when his health and stamina goes to practically zero.

I like the genre, but this novel isn't for me.

Imagine if rather than a black magic practitioner, he's just a black guy who so just happens to be a magician lol

My problem with tournament arcs is that almost all of the novels I read drags it out too much. This novel is also one of them.

Lmao the author named the MCs from his 2 novels practically the same, surname and all. And both characters are called stupid lmao

It a decent story but it slow and the romance is slow as hell and you don't know who the FL is because there are so mean girls that you can't tell how it is and if that's not all one girl who likes the mc and is so blatant about it it's not very funny and yet the mc don't know how IDK
