If you're wondering, the author did drop this novel. He gave a list of reasons on Webnovel. But it all boiled down him being disappointed in the work, and even if he wanted to redo it, the story is owned by Webnovel due to the contact he signed with them. He can't continue the story somewhere else or redo it.

There's a lot more, and I'm sure I'm missing a lot since I can't copy from Webnovel with the phone I'm using. So if you're really interested, I say go read it yourself on the WN.

God this became the most dogshit wuxia cliche shithole novel ever, the last 100 or so chapters are all solved by "fate twist" and that's it, f#cking boring ass, with the Absorption you have 3 Deus ex machina instant kills and that's it, with the f#cking fate shit it's just a full Deus ex machina he doesn't f#cking lose. Every single action he takes just purely to his benefit without any consequence nothing goes bad that isn't trivialised in the next 10 chapters and every single action any other being takes is also purely to his benefit. Jesus Christ he walks into any room and the stars f#cking align and every answer is handed to him on a single platter, the scene where he's unlocking the main demon chamber or some bullshit is literally the following "But you need a connection to the demon Lord" he has that, "But you also need a connection to Yukeli" he has that and then "But you also need a connection to Ausra" guess what? He also has that, dude, at some point you gotta f#cking stop with the bullshit luck and him bullshitting the power system, I understand he's got a bunch of laws and abilities but Jesus Christ someone who is 2 major realms above him where the gaps are stated to be incalculable at that stage he still is able to withstand the full aura we get it he's the protagonist no need to jack him off so hard and vigorously to a degree that the homosexual oiled up African-American men on the internet get jealous. All right, that's my rant.

Read book 1 which was 27 chapters by the way and it's honestly not worth your time. Dorian is supposed to be this calm and collected mc but isn't like that at all. The only good things I can say are that the system is interesting and his evolution process is cool.

Now for the meat of the review. He considers himself human and as a monster mc (or at least a monster mc until he gets a human bloodline) that makes no sense. You are now no longer human and you have to adapt to that. He doesn't do so at all and it ends up being that he is more than happy to kill beasts but not humans. Humans can and will kill you if given the chance. He even acknowledges that but it seems like he just holds humans to a different standard. He also cooks food which is an extremely tired trope. "Monster mc knows the gift of cooked food" is very overused.

This is a minor spoiler but I feel like this is one of the best examples to show my disappointment. The Mc is hunted by humans and they fail, one of these humans tells others about the mc and how odd he is and then brings them over to hunt him. This human ends up getting hurt and gains an inheritance from some old soul and the soul asks the mc to help heal him. Now the mc does so and then that should be it right? Nope, the mc while being attacked by some other humans (who he is surprisingly happy to kill) is saved by the human he healed and they die for him. This would be good if it wasn't for the fact that he was the one who brought these new humans to kill him again. So he has brought two groups of people to kill the mc and the mc instead of saying good riddance instead screams in his head about how he is too weak and he doesn't want to hurt people and he needs power. After said screaming match he kills the leader and then saved the human's soul so he can try and revive him.

So let's summarise. Mc has saved the soul of a human who has tried to get him killed or enslaved multiple times and is now on a great mission to revive him. The only way he will be able to is if he uses energy. This same energy is what he needs to grow stronger. So he is now forsaking his own growth to save someone who is his enemy. This was stupid and the fact the author did this in the first place was even more stupid.

Book one is 27 chapters long. To mess up that badly in 27 chapters is pretty mindblowing.

All in all, don't read this and waste your time.
