Shinigami in the Ninja World鸣人只想做死神

This novel is a bit hyped from some reviews i read.

MC's identity and interaction with all characters within the Soul Society lacks any depth and everything still follows the canon, the development and time he spent there was basically brushed aside with a single sentence from the author. Just like this...

MC is basically willing to put his life in danger to save these characters is just too unrelatable because of how shallow his interaction with them, they all talk about these and that but there's no substance, they all talk as if they're close but there's no process of them getting to know each other aside from lots of timeskips. MC's interaction with characters within Ninja World is almost same but here author doesn't follow the canon, author still skips the process of MC getting closer to the characters and just force them to become close instantly no questions asked, there's no awkward interactions but MC suddenly becomes closer with some characters he just met and treat them like family just feel pointless.

On the whole MC's goal is basically just searching for his parents soul to meet them and everything follows canon with slight changes. MC's personality didn't really become "cool" per se, MC just becomes mature without the being loud and screaming to become a Hokage. MC basically becomes a reasonable person that's all, not cool or anything, he's just a normal person. That aside characters around MC incredibly lacking in development, their existence felt pointless which makes the novel really boring. It would've been better if this novel has a Transmigrator as the MC rather than this Naruto.

MC's powers are also nothing new, author basically either make the MC instantly learn everything or use Timeskip-no-Jutsu for MC to learn and get stronger, the Zanpakuto is also lame and disappointing. I thought MC will get some Cool Unique Zanpakuto powers but in the end it's still Canon Naruto no difference.

Simply put.. author lacks creativity, lacks patients for developing the characters, overusing timeskips, interaction has no depth, lacks imagination for powers. The only catch in this novel is that MC flexing his Kido Spells in Ninja world and everything else is painfully average for me.

Decent read, with plot faithful to the original with some changes.

The Ninja world is done pretty well, with major overhauls that don’t detract too much away from the original worldbuilding.

The Bleach world on the other hand feels way too stiff, almost completely adhering to the original plot even though every character seems to be barely intelligent enough to do their jobs.

Additionally, you could replace the MC (supposed to be Naruto) with any ol’ transmigrated schmuck and there wouldn’t be a noticeable difference, that’s how unrelated the personality and characteristics of Naruto is in the novel. The author is relatively better at writing cold detached MCs, but completely removes a core element of Naruto’s character just feels off.

In contract, the epilogue chapters has character down better, but plot wise it is worse, which just goes to show author is better at cold MC.

Overall pretty decent read, recommended to read if you enjoy the genre and don’t detest worldhopping too badly.

A good fanfic, not the best, but definitely worth the time if you like this genre

On the plus side, the author is not afraid to change the original story, it was interesting to see Naruto see Konoha through the eyes of an adult with critical thinking and not a child with brainwashed.

On the minuses, I would attribute the fact that the plot of the soul society, unlike the world of ninjas, is nailed down tightly with minor changes, regardless of the actions of the hero. The entire arc of the daimyo, they were made idiots detached from reality, which looks absurd. And also too open ending, it looks too strange and abrupt, the chapters of the afterword could have fixed this, but they represent a reflection on the topic of what if Sasuke became the main character instead of Naruto, which is generally funny but not quite what you expect.

I need to know because I like to see more romance in the story I would attend to read, who is the waifu..
When two world (Naruto and Bleach) blend together with Uzumaki Naruto being the Male lead, I keep to think about two female figure in Bleach which perhaps have FMC role:
- Orihime Inoue, and..
- Rukia Kuchiki
Which one?
