Kai is the hardest working warrior in his generation… and the unluckiest. In a world where most people receive magical skills, classes, or cultivation, Kai has nothing but his wits and his strength. His only choice will be to forge a new path against fate, no matter where it takes him.

Savage monsters pour endlessly from the wasteland, threatening the survival of civilization itself. They say that human strength isn’t enough and only those gifted with destined powers have a chance of making a difference. Kai is hungry to fight in that war, to be someone who matters. That hunger will take him across a world stranger and more terrible than he could possibly have imagined.

What to expect:

* "Strong to stronger" slow burn. The MC is an underdog for many chapters before earning his unique ability.
* Stats exist as a natural part of the world. They aren't introduced until several chapters in when the MC unlocks spiritual sight.
* Different magical abilities exist in different regions and balancing them is an essential part of the system.
* Chapters post Monday-Thursday. Collapse

Like it said in the description this novel is definitely a slow burn with the MC only got his golden finger around chapter 55 and than it kinda pick up the pase but not by much. In my opinion the overall story itself is pretty but definitely does have some potential to be interesting later down the line. One thing I don't really like is the fact that the Mc has a bit of a hero complex and is and like to get involved in things he really has no business in, which was the major reason why I just decided to drop it at 190, but if your into righteous Mc with a moral compass you'll enjoy this.

This is one of the stupid jobs where the hero and his friends are developing much faster than they should be... Over 200 chapters, 2 years of story time have passed, in which he became the first force on the continent, surpassing the old monsters. The MC himself is very naive, he was not happy when he found out that criminals were being sent to work at the mine and decided to unleash a revolution. When he meets bandits who want to take his life, he just lets them go on, not thinking that then they will kill someone who is weaker than him.. You can read, but this is a minus gyrus

A slow work, I read 50 chps, the protagonist is not really very "unlucky", it is a work that brings the perspective of a commoner, a slow work, ok plot, ok characters too. But it's a slow burn, if you If you have patience, you can read it. I dropped it because I didn't like the perspective.
    Rank C+(It has potential)

Have postings tested to chapter 47. Have to say, unremarkable story. In fact, it is often frustrating.

      Spoilers ahead.

This world has a system, but each country has a different version. MCs is completely luck based, with people randomly assigned a “class” that determines their future. MC, who is “unlucky”, picks up the “Labourer” Class, which gives him almost no benefits, slightly strengthening his body, and is slow to upgrade. Because of this, his clan abandons him, he is mistreated by his government (they refuse to give him rewards he earned because with a crap class he won’t make good use of them), people generally treat him badly with no recourse,

His mentor early on tells him that if he makes any trouble he will be kicked out of the clan, so when young masters find trouble with him, when he is verbally shit on, whatever, he just has to take it.

Remember I said he was unlucky? Essentially, he only gets anywhere because he works hard to improve his body, becoming stronger than hunters years older than him in a few months. That’s not enough to keep up however, as we see a hammer-wielding hunter with a great class match him in physical strength.

He gets three opportunities to try and eleven the systems of power from different countries. One was the “path of ___” where you can create and manipulate a type of metal - this counts as a large part of power according to the systems - and when attempting to learn this power, there are two things that happen. 1. Based on luck, you get a rarity of metal, from basic iron, to steel, etc. this functions as your “potential” in the eyes of that foreign country. 2. A willpower test, based on you forming spheres of said metal during the ceremony, most people do one, some do tw9 and receive great benefits. Mc grabs 3. Unfortunately, his rarity was Bronze, which he was told is the most garbage result you could get.

More than that, he decides to sell his potential in the path of bronze to a foreigner, this permanently closes that path of power to him, but increas3s the potential of the foreigner. He does this in exchange for some spheres that turn into a weapon you want.

The second was the system from the “elemental islands” where people can randomly be given the powers of fire, air, earth, and water. The elements clash over him, and for a moment mc felt like he could get one. But nope, useless.

Third was a random encounter with a cultivator from the east, who derides him as a barbarian who might attempt to adapt to qi but can’t use it.

Besides all of that, MCs character is a naive, heroic, work-hard good guy.

For me personally, this story was an exercise in frustration. I was frustrated with the Mc, the people around him, the world that seemed designed to be as difficult for him as possible, and the way he was suppressed by the systems that be (governmental and societal not game system).

I read stories for escapism, so OP characters, comedy, even edgy characters are all fine. Naive good guys who get suppressed by a realistic government is just an annoying reminder of my daily life.

The grammar is good, no spelling mistake, good writing.

I don’t recommend, as the other reviews seem to indicate it doesn’t really get better
