One of, if not the worst, endings for an okay novel I've ever read

Just read chap 1045. Did not expect it to end so abruptly. It had potential, and it's execution was pretty good early on, but the author just made the MC so competent that the only way there could be stakes was when he was asleep. Like I swear whenever he wanted to drive up the tension he would find some way to just make it so the MC couldn't participate. It was a bit weird to be honest. Especially the ending.

Man this novel has so much breaking immersion paragraph. Especially the ROB. Everything that has to do with ROB always break the immersion. Adding to that the overabundance use of CASPLOCK. It just make the reading become more annoying. And that's not count the lack of period on the paragraph. Makes the reading tiring.

After seeing how the first conflict was resolved(partially resolved) I could see that's how most things would probably be handled in this story.

The unique thing about this novel is that the MC got superpowers from his system, and the world didn't go: "Hey, you got superpowers? Guess what? The world is actually filled with super-powered individuals. They just kept it secret for apsloutly no reason."

No, there is a natural progression from when it comes to the "awakening" in this story, which is something I very much appreciate.

So I decided to reread this and give it a try again. And I still don't understand. The MC is in a modern world with technology and super advanced stuff going on. So why did the writer give him a rune master system?

For any body who suffer boring empire management, jump to chapter around 715 because

Review at 13 chapters. I also have to point that most of the ratings were lowered due to the awful writing quality.

Story Development
It's average at most, with plot holes that can be ignored. It's interesting that the author actually did some research and the tech parts until now are mostly ok. However, the plot itself is easily predictable, with the MC also being under heavy plot armor from the beginning, and seems 1-dimensional until now (although this may change later on).

For me -> 2/5 stars
If you can ignore the plot armor and some of the MC's illogical decisions -> 4 or 5 stars

Writing Quality
Terrible, just off-putting... I've only read about 13 chapters, and it doesn't get any better. Somehow it felt it's getting even worse, but maybe that's only from torturing myself to read through it so much.
It's full of mistakes, and the author's speech style bleeds into the whole novel, not just the MC.

1/5 stars, but I'd give it lower than this if I could.

World Background
It's basically our world, starting from 2013, nothing really new, nothing really bad till now as it seemed the author did their research.

Character Design
Nothing new, just a 1-dimensional character constantly enraged. The other characters didn't seem to have much character either. Ig as good as 13 chapters can give.

Pros and cons first then my personal opinion
1. Pros :

-This novel is probably one of the most realistic novel I have read it uses a lot of terminology weapons that really exist rules and laws that really exist.
(This is also a con which I’ll discuss later)

-Very powerful still invisible system

-A quite realistic world building portraying till now

-Very good dialogues between characters

-Interesting AIs

-Good writing good editing

-Very few and almost invisible grammar mistake.

-I learned quite a few things while reading this novel.

2. Cons :
-Very poor pacing it’s hella slow like I’m in ch 467 and the awakening of other people has started now

-Very poor plot (it’s subjective but it’s poor for me…why? Reasons below)

-Everything happens very conveniently……story starts

-It’s like author decides what’s is going to happen and gives whatever reason he can for the ‘why’

-Very technical stuff like full of real weapon names that you have to google at every min and if that happens when there is war going on bruh it’s frustrating to say the least

-Very useless (for me atleast) information dump at every turn
(I can’t read this in one go without my brain hurting)

-In his attempt to make it as close to real as possible he has missed the enjoying part I mean come on why would I wanna know how their spy agent is invisible to the camera is 3 paragraph when there was such a interesting mission going on

-I’m sure he could have dumb down a lot of military slangs or their language whatever you wanna call it for normal people to understand….he didn’t and it didn’t end well for me

-Very poor character building, especially MC, and rest are 2d characters they have a back story but they just appear when they are needed author didn’t developed them

-Author has a mentality that there has to be a villain present and doing evil shit every time for the story to continue ….its not…..I really hated how that terrorist appeared out of nowhere just because mc needed a villain

-This story has smut BUT we see 2 ch full of smut about a side character but not for mc when it is obvious that they have already fugged….really?

-That poor to rich tag it’s just for first 100 ch or less lmao

-One more thing is arcs never give the satisfaction you need after reading so much info dump and a bit of plot, mc has problems back to back and never really focused on solving them they are delegated to AIs while he just do whatever and before they gets solved new one comes

-Oh one more thing I forgot

-Don’t read if you want power fantasy
-Don’t read this if you want that wow factor
-Don’t read this if you want to read some actual good character (ai here has more depth than humans 🤦)
-Read this if you want a realistic story
-Read this if you want to know what would happens if you got a system irl
-Read this if only if you can handle MASSIVE INFO-DUMPS
