not a bad face slapping novel to pass time.
That is only true for around 140 chapters or so.
Later there is too much canibal vibes going around with MC eating other sentient beings(for example dragons, even though they actually look like humans most of the time) which is find absolutely disgusting.

Mind you, i believe the dragon is in human form while this conversation is taking place. Disgusting.
These kind of stuff should have no place in a ''humoristic'' kind of novel.
Thats just my opinion though.

Here is like with the guy who told a lame joke and then decided to explain the humor, and the more he explains the more awkward and cringy it is.
Same with this story: the humor of the original idea may be ok-ish, but the further it goes the more stupid and braindead the story becomes.

Yet another junk food faceslapping novel here. While constant faceslapping is kind of a turn off for me, it sort of works in this novel. Particularly because the mc is already overpowered, so the author can simply play the comedic route.

As the commentator from below has already said, do not take this work seriously. You know that the hero is invincible from start to finish. If you think about logic, then it will not end well. At the end it gets boring, so I skipped the last 20 chapters and for the reaction to the finale was: "Well, this explains something. Cool."

Trust me, be glad that the last few chapters are missing, the ending is beyond garbage.

TLDR: very underrated for some reason, I expected to find novel of this quality to have 3.9 rating or something.

A lot of people take this novel too seriously for some reason. I just don't understand why so many people complaining here. It literally one of the better cultivation ones. Author actually seems pretty smart, that not something that can be said about most cultivation writers.

There are moments when some people outraged by how plot goes (bird incident for example), but its not something that can't happen. Also, this novel quickly became better. It seems that author wanted to make non-serious comedy, but decided against it.

Yes, MC is very OP, and there are probably would not be any real threats for him (I only read like 80 chapters for now). But it's not like story is uninteresting. There is some focus on faceslapping and public reactions, but it's in relative moderation.

Characters are actually not bad, and if you count only among cultivation novels, I would even say good. There are no constant all men - enemies or subordinates. Also no constant endless escalation - some characters only temporary enemies. Some of them even have interesting backstory. World also not necessarily revolves around MC, other characters also doing things and have their own goals.

Ofc, it's more of a lite read. And also don't really offer a lot of new stuff, but it's not something you expect from cultivation novels. The important thing is, it's not stupid as a whole (characters sometimes are).

Translation seems surprisingly good, but became somewhat worse after like 70ch, but even the worst moments are better than average.
