The Strongest Sect of All Times万古最强宗

Mid novel. Some jokes are funny and the cast is quite likeable, but it's also the worst kind of system novel; the kind where the MC is coerced by a sassy sentient system accompagned by a stupidly overpriced gacha/shop. The author also starts recycling and repeating plotlines early in the story.

If it were just that it would be fine, but the spoilers I read on NU turned me off too much to bother with this.

This is actually a really good novel, and I don't get why people keep hating on it? I understand there are some similarities to History's Number 1 Founder, but this book goes off in a completely different direction from that.

I really liked it. The translation is good, which is a great plus. It's not from webnovel, if anyone's curious- the site seems to have pulled it from moonchildkhz.

As for the story itself, I've so far enjoyed it. The MC isn't OP, and is reasonably intelligent and reasonable. He's not an unfeeling, emotionless monster and genuinely cares for his disciples. The comedy is solid, as is the dialogue, and the relationship between the characters is really well-written. The MC himself has interesting dynamics with the characters, and most of them have distinct and memorable personalities.

As for the MC himself, I liked him. He's smart, and certainly not a push-over. The face-slapping scenes are done well, to the extent they seem like an organic part of the story and not written in just for the face-slapping. He's placed in unreasonable situations against more powerful sects and responds to them the best he can. The elders in this, the few we've seen, can be either the reasonable, sensible ones, or the ones that care for pride and arrogance- standard xianxia stuff, but done well.

Anyways, if you're interested in a system sect novel, give this a shot! The translation's a bit slow, so I'd say let it pile up if you find yourself enjoying it.

Has a nice touch comedy in there but sometimes its really irritable how Mc does things. Everyone is trying to plot against a Low Grade sect for a little amount of Ego, even when no one is causing trouble Mc himself goes to Provoke someone for no fking reason. Every single person in there Underestimate The MC or his sect and later get Face Slapped.
Even after proving their strength to those people some high level dumbass would continue to Underestimate them. Its really Cliche. I don't like how Dumb MC Acts in front of his enemies. Even when an grudge is solved, MC drags himself into higher level of grudges with other sect. Its really never-ending man..
well i dropped it at that point...
