I liked it a lot, being a strong supporter of the maids but unfortunately it's over for me, what can I say I hate the yuri in the harem, especially here I feel like the mc is getting ntr by his maid

The story and character interactions feel awkward and the pacing is unnatural.

The smut with his maid harem is nice though.

I only know about the first 40 chapters and it's a Supremely horrible, to be clear, if the author used the MC personality alone or the first maid alone, then everything will be at least an average story, but for some unknown reason he combined this horrible mixture of gullible, idiotic and horny MC, with unresponsible father, dead mother, and the worst maid you can get.

The MC wanted a maid... So this idiot decided to hair an assassin who come after his life, and when he has the advantage he decided that he is too thirsty and drink the essence of foolishness, to sacrifice his advantage for no reason and on top of that put his stupid life at the risk because this bastard wanted a maid to f#ck at any cost... After that, a series of idiotic decisions end with him as a semi-slave.

The father, because this was originally designed as a Japanese novel, is not needed other than a background character, but that only works in modern-day novels, and so his absence from his kid life is not welcomed, after all, the only thing I know about him is that he is rich, and don't want to give his son a maid for some reason, this is something you can't expect from this kind of father, he didn't care about his son education but care about his reputation?

The mother, of course, there can not be a mother in this mess or else the MC wouldn't be this foolish enough to do whatever he wanted by risking his life for his d!ck.

The first stupid maid, this the worst character to start with this kind of MC, she is completely illogical and doesn't use her brain at all, she is a damn assassin and in an urgent need for money but instead of stealing to heal her sister in the fastest way possible, she decided to foolishly grind slowly through assassination attempts for years and risk her sister health.

Finally, in the ridiculous plot, first, there is no golden finger, and the MC only remembered his past life's obsession with maids, he recruits a maid after his life for a big amount of money instead of blackmailing her or imprisoning her and using this wasted money to buy a loyal maid or a sex slave, in both cases, he used his father money and bring a maid to his house publicly so it doesn't make sense to choose the risky way instead of the safe way when the result is the one, after that he started the journey to do something and become a slave in the middle... After that, a few unnecessary events end with the author deleting the old MC personality and making a new one but more to a Chinese MC.

Of course, the bad taste from reading those 40 chapters is making it almost impossible for me to continue but if some brave soul decides to wander into the unknown then, please write what you found in a reply.

Author baits you into reading 38 chapters then trolls you, just terrible.

Just started reading but there should be multiple pov tag!
For now the story is interesting and i am interested in seeing the character development of the mc as he gets stronger.

PS: also I dont get why ppl are hating if mc gets some backlash in the beginning, you shouldnt put yourself un mc's place. It just makes it more fun when his Character grows. I mean there are loads of novels where mc starts off god in 1st few chs and thats ok and all but you cant hate if someone does something different.

It's not a good novel, maybe average at best. I've read all the chapters on webnovel before it was locked (68) and the story is simply bland af.
The initial idea could work but I think the author f#cked up with his first maid/harem member cuz her actions and personality are all over the place and keep changing without really any reasons. She falls for the MC cuz yeah, plot. The Mc himself is alright at best but at the beginning he is trash. Cuz although the author warned that he was kinda naive he is too naive as the son of a merchant and a noble, it makes no sense. The world building at this point is kinda bland as well as the only thing we know is we're in a fantasy world with mages, melee fighters and demons.
Even tho I believe the MC'S character might improve in the future and other interesting female characters might appear I simply don't think that this author can pull anything above average off based on what I've read so far. Chapter 69 was an r18 chapter BTW so it has smut, but imo r18 and smut scenes are only good in a novel where I actually care about the characters or else it turns into fap material or, like in this case, boring and I drop it.
